I can't wait for next spring when your schtick is freaking out about him turning pro too early.
And while JB is 3-8 against Bennett in the ACC, that doesn't even really tell the whole story.
Our margins of victory in our three wins are 6, 4 and 8.
UVA's are 19, 12, 8, 7, 15, 16, 14 and 23.
When are you going to turn pro and leave? The whole board does. Like actively roots for guys ready or unready to leave early. All these insiders never say a guy is coming back always hes gone ready or not.

Number 8 team in the Country on the road.
The worst defensive BACKCOURT in the ACC and its not even close.I suggest people chill out for a second and not go nuclear with every loss. It reads like a hundred people in a cave with one shouting, “hey, we’re not good like we were!” Then 99 people echo back “we all know.” Then a slight pause before another guy shouts, “hey, we’re not good anymore.”
And it goes on and on. Who are we shouting at?

Well dont you think the coach should evaluate and start looking to upgrade the talent on the roster by doing some actually recruiting by sending out offers at the position that is not up to par? or is this now the mediocre standard and we will not address the flaws just go into next year with only 3 guards and questionable distribution of minutes.Goodine and Carey were both recruited there (they’re combo guards). So there were other guys recruited. They didn’t work out because they didn’t show much when they played.
Kadary playing 30 minutes is probably not the answer that wins this team more games. When he’s played against the better teams, he hasn’t done anything that wows you. He played well against VT; everybody did (well, not Buddy lol). Could Buddy have sat more against VT? Sure. Did it have any affect on the game? Not really.
So people can rail about nepotism all they want, and I agree his minutes should be dialed back a little bit, but there really aren’t appreciably better options on this roster. Griffin cannot play SG.
So, recruiting is an issue. We knew recruiting was an issue when the season started. Why do we have to whine about it now? Didn’t we all whine about it plenty before? Did the staff intend to be thin at guard? No, they thought Carey and Goodine could play at this level. They thought wrong. Strike against them, but that’s a strike they had against them to start the season. Again, why complain about recruiting right now? Just to commiserate over the dead horse that’s been beaten to dust, I guess?
Yeah, because they’re a very good team and we’re a) not b) missing our Center (the single biggest reason the defense didn’t work)
No body in this country ever has experienced this condition. And if they have I don’t believe it.This is what those ppl you are referring to suffer from. View attachment 195442
They're clueless. Don't waste your time. When we beat NCSU, they will go into hiding again until we lose, or kcsu will make some post about how JB finally played Kadary enough. Rinse, repeat. It's not even laughable at this point. It's just pathetic.

Competition within a team is good, it brings out the best in individuals. It is hard for teams and individuals to get better if they dont have anyone who is a threat to their playing time.
I would love to hear what annonymous ACC coaches say about this team.
Most teams would probably just play their next center, and while he wouldn’t be as good - the backup C at bigtime b-ball schools should at least be functional.
We play a kid whose undersized even for the PF spot there and get mauled, even though we know going in what’s going to happen.
Yeah, folks need to take their complaints and criticisms somewhere else- instead of bringing them here...to an SU message board no less! That oughta learn ‘em!The only logical place to get to with these criticisms is a new coach. The staff and AD don’t concern themselves with how fans feel about the coaching/recruiting. Collectively, we fans all know the team’s shortcomings. We have hundreds of posts a day complaining about the same things. It just gets tiresome, from my perspective. If people are complaining for the sake of complaining, my question is why.
I know. You don't have to yell. The question is, why? Are the players superior? Is the coaching superior? The other question is, why are we not competitive with them and the rest of the top of the ACC? We used to be.VIRGINIA UNDER TONY BENNETT IS ONE OF THE PREMIER DEFENSIVE TEAMS IN THE COUNTRY YEAR AFTER YEAR.
Losing sucks. It sucks most for coaches and players. I don’t believe the claims of nepotism are valid. The coaches, starting with JB, believe the best way to win is with the guys he rolls out there. Personally I am a little curious how a zone with Kadary and Griff up top would look. This assumes Braswell at the 3. I actually think we could be much better defensively with this line up - but I have to believe the coaches have discussed this and nixed it.
Agree soo much with this. This is the first time I’ve ever watched a CUSE team knowing that the coach is just as much of the problem right now. JB made this program, and he’s earned the right to stay as long as he wants, and I don’t think the grass will be greener once he’s gone(I hope that it is). But this is the team he has recruited. He hand picked this group...to run his “offense” and “defense”...and it doesn’t take a genius to see it’s a round peg square hole scenario. We have good players, they just aren’t being put in a situation to succeed as a team. As a coach you’ve got to be able to recognize when something isn’t right, and you’ve got to try something to help your team. Rolling the ball out each timedoing the same thing, and expecting change is just insanity. Its maddening the coach can't make simple adjustments and the guys buried this year are good its not Carey/Goodine who can't see the floor at their new schools.
But this team isn't bad. We'll be favorites or slight underdogs rest of the way.
Most of the frustrations are on the coach and his overuse of the starting back court.

You're thinking too recently. I'm speaking historically. Through most of JB's tenure we are a top 25 team and it hasn't been out of the ordinary for us be top 10.When did we compete with that team apart from the tournament game when it looked like we would get blown out. Even 2014 we got ran.
We might do better than people expect rest of the way. Shame asking for minor adjustments from the coach isn’t gonna happen.
If you're beating your chest over an NC State win, well... I guess that says it all.
