Syracuse fans have a lot in common with Clemson fans, actually. Both schools have some nice history that was so long ago that the rest of the CFB world has forgotten about it. In an effort to remind people of that history, the fans then resort to nonsense like bragging about someone who coached them 100 years ago, or winning a second-tier bowl game in 1995, or the number of NFL Hall of Famers (yes, NFL... What?).
I get how frustrating it can be when people are ignorant of history... like when people talk about how SCar "owns" Clemson. I don't think either Syracuse or Clemson is an elite program historically, but they're both members of that next tier and it's more or less splitting hairs between them. (Even though it's not really close in the present landscape.)

I think draft picks and All-Americans are a better barometer of producing good college players.Reasonable post. I don't think NFL HOFers is irrelevant at all. Plus we have a few more on deck. They are proof of producing the cream of the crop players.
I'd love Dawkins to get in for you guys. Guy was a beast.
Sure. Congrats. But college football HOF members are relevant, correct? If we just go by players, the score is 9-3 Syracuse. If you want to toss in coaches, it's 15-6 Syracuse.

EDIT: For the record, I have no idea which team has more of either.
