I Need Help

Thank you for clarifying, I really appreciate your willingness to help as I am sure most on this board do. Believe me, it goes a long way.

Haha I wonder if DG is a long time lurker... :D

The whole Clemson IPTAY concept and its integration into seating pricing, parking and other benefits needs to be looked at by SU. They push it hard, and have made the benefits of donating money to the Clemson athletic department obvious and almost a must if you want to support the football team. It is a great way to get graduating students on board and contributing, even in a modest way from day one.

This only indirectly affects attendance at football games but I think it is one of those areas that the SU athletic program could improve. Clemson gets the concept of alumni and locals supporting the program and how to provide incentives to encourage this behavior. We could learn a lot by studying how they do business.

The object for both is to make money of course but it is also to have maximum occupancy while maximizing revenue.
why care about maximum occupancy? occupancy is just a means to an end

Finally got to and through this thread.

In today's food truck world, and with such good, I mean really good local food choices in Syracuse - can something similar be set up on the campus side of the stadium? Basically a tailgate area for people who don't cook but eat and drink.

The best part of the Syracuse airport is the food court of local food, it's awesome as far as that kind of thing goes.

I didn't realize the Orange Club stopped serving beer at their event.

And oh yeah, the email about the 4 beer limit / bracelet for hoops is obnoxious. It's a Syracuse crowd, gimme a break.

Just Win Games. Nothing else matters. No perk you can give to the tight CNYers matters. Just Win Games. Pay the coaches and win games. No amount of sugar, alcohol, bling, or heavy petting matters. Just Win Games.

For the record, heavy petting does it for me...

Hey Dan--if you've been reading all the posts since the Pitt debacle, I'm sure you got the impression that there a lot of POd season ticket holders--many of whom have declared that they won't renew for next season. Why not throw them a bone of sorts and allow them to upgrade their seats for the same price as their present preferred seating (eg: fan in preferred "C" seat can upgrade to preferred "B" for what the price of a normal "C" seat would cost). This can be a one time deal or maybe tie it in to a contingency that they can keep the upgraded seats for as many seasons it takes for SU to reach a winning season. At such time, they can have the option of keeping (and paying the upwardly re-adjusted upgrade rate) or having first choice at their old seats or new seats in their previous preferred seating.

Sounds complicated but I'm sure all those smart guys and gals up on the Hill can figure out how to make it work.

It's pretty unbelievable that Syracuse wants the fans to support a program that they are unwilling to invest in. After that Pitt game I'm sick of excuses, I have stood by this team defending it for my whole life and they roll out that product onto the field. Syracuse is unwilling to support its coach with money to hire a competent staff, pay its head football coach the least amount in the Acc. It's a disgrace.

I generally agree, but why specifically should THIS head football coach make more money?

You all are slowly but surely reading my mind..

Don't know if you're a runner but they have these DTags on running bib's (numbers) and it automatically tracks when you cross the start and finish line regardless of hoe tall you are. id say put one of those dtags in every student and regular season ticket and put the sensors at every gate. people that are in before kickoff and stay inside till after the alma mater get entered to win prize and free upgrades for next seasons tickets and are automatically in the very earliest group for single game ticket specials.

All,

I'm not sure what to say here. I've been out sick the past two days and was dealing with it at the game Saturday. Very happy how the dance performance turned out, but everything else I always leave to you guys.

However I need help here.

The past two games one of our initiatives has been to pull a list of those who bought single game tickets off of ticketmaster and reach out to those patrons. I came up with an email to thank them for purchasing and supporting the program and so on. Everyone loved it and customer service is one of my core values here. Nothing more satisfying than helping fellow 'Cuse fans.

However my next plan here is to send out a thank you email to mini plan & season ticket holders. I know I speak for absolutely everyone in the department by saying thank you for supporting this team.

My point of this post is to get a jumpstart on that. Some of you may be getting an email from me in the upcoming weeks and know why I am doing it -- to thank you and hopefully improve your Dome experience.

So guys lay it on me. Aside from uniforms, coaching, players, etc -- how can I improve your experience. What would you do differently? What stays? What goes? I just want ideas. I want this to be a place you guys come to and truly love coming to over and over like it is for me 2 and a half years into it.

I appreciate the time and thoughts guys.

I haven't been a season ticket holder since I moved from NYC to FL, but I have to say, any outreach is excellent. So, excellent job.

I'm not saying shafer should get a raise at this point all I'm saying is Syracuse is bring in more money then ever with Acc money and they are unwilling to advance the budget of the team that's bring in the lions share
