I officially forgive Riley

Reminded me more of Estime than Erv. But heck of a game. Him and Nykiem are great to have. I don't think we targeted them enough early in year. They are great compliments to Custis

Dinos fault 100%... well maybe 75%
Not Dino's fault. Punt block was good idea, potentially a game changer at that point. Riley has to use better judgment and technique. Try to block punt but don't hit punter if you can't make contact with ball. Lay out to side of punter where ball is coming off his foot. If you miss, you just fly into air and fall on ground. Riley came kind of straight on and we saw what happened.

for the LSU drop. What a game! Looked like Erv2.0 out there.
Dude was so incredibly fast and energetic today. What a player he has become. A few passes he caught were a bit underthrown. One second earlier and could have broke open for a score.

Dumb call, momentum’s with you, o is driving at will, would have had good field position, just dopey to go for it with these circumstances. The only thing worse as not doing a qb sneak on 4th and one in the fourth qrtr. Those are the things that can cost you games. The fact we overcome them suggests to me just how good we really are.

Punt block was NOT a good idea at that point. Play return with chance to get ball at midfield and go up 21. No brainer.

That said, Dino isn’t directly responsible for Rley’s poor technique.

Sean also did plenty to redeem himself.

There was one way overthrown. Couldn't believe he snagged it.

You can watch the condensed game on YT and he just looks so much faster than everyone around him. I’m sure he’ll be better next year. Teams will need to scheme

Fun to watch those two (Riley and Nykeim Johnson) make critical, exciting plays all game long! Some excellent catches in traffic that extended drives and will go down as winning plays in a turnaround, program building season.

On the “Roughing the Kicker” play, I agree that Riley’s technique and judgement could be improved, but I think the kicker was the one that initiated the contact. I should watch it again, but on the first replay I watched I think the punter is moving into Riley. Smart job by the punter.

As for Babers, I was a little upset by the call as we didn’t need it, but I applaud his aggressiveness. It backfired, but I prefer to put pressure on the other team rather than go into “prevent” mode.

Most impressed by the team, especially Riley, for having a short memory and finishing the game strong.

True. We didn't need the dagger at that point. But who am I to say anything...we're 6 and 2. I'll say it again: 6-2.

Horrible idea in my opinion.

At that point all that mattered was possession.

Just get the ball in fairly decent field position.

With the way our offense was playing, that penalty resulted in a 14 point swing.

He played really well. He has become our most reliable pass catcher.

And his speed is remarkable.

I agree. SU would have the ball on their own 45 at worst and the D had confidence and not only was it a swing point wise but also put a dagger in the D's mojo.

There were very few balls that hit him perfectly and that's not a jab at ED at all. He caught some incredible balls last night on some really important possessions and downs. One of the most important performances we've seen from a WR in a long time when you also consider how important this game was to the program moving forward.
