This last month and a half has been brutal (Aside from Quadir). We lost out on Lands, Clingan, Flip, and probably Chance! Remember how optimistic we all were after the Taylor commitment. You could argue that aside from JJ, we missed out on our top 5 best targets this cycle. EXHAUSTING

Not surprisingly, the best teams are still getting the best kids regardless of the NIL.

Our recruiting before the NIL hasn’t been great.

Syracuse isn’t some special snowflake here. We’ve been hit with probation twice. We aren’t some Ivy League school. Everyone has to deal with the NIL. Everyone is pulling from the same pool of kids.

The best thing that everyone should hope for is that the GLeague matures even further (it will) and the very top kids keep going there and then the NBA allows for HS kids to go pro.

If you want to watch good basketball, watch the NBA.

Otherwise, we root for Cuse with the team we have, not the one we want.

For me, Basketball recruiting is getting to the point of where rubbernecking is for most people. I don't want to look and try not to look, but still need to take a glance.

Why can’t these kids do what’s best for them and get what they actually deserve and take care of their families ? Us fans are not owed anything by these recruits, stop thinking that please. Recruiting has changed and will change and continue to affect SU until they start helping these kids realize what opportunities are out there

For those who are saying that they are done with recruiting that is probably a healthy decision for you. The recruiting side of sports always has and always will be a rollercoaster that has ups and downs and while its frustrating sometimes, if it gets you emotionally and mentally distraught that is probably not a good thing. While it stinks that Lands de-committed, the landscape in truth has changed and he has a right to look at that however much this stinks for the fans who follow the program. If Syracuse has the ability to introduce the players to members of the community great, my guess would be they are doing so where they can. In fairness to businesses it may take time and budgeting so perhaps next year will be better.
