The only team to lose twice to 15 seeds. I havent looked i up but its gotta be true.

But we wont.

Nope. Florida Gulf Coast won two games.
But they didn't lose to a team that had already lost to a 15 seed is his point. We already have a loss to a 15 seed.

Damn good thing the coaches and the players don't read this board. All this negatively is incredible. If you guys don't think that JAB has these guys believing that this team is going all the way to Houston then you don't know anything about how successful coaches operate. No way we are going to lose on Sunday. Book it now.

Post Season Buzz kill post of the year !

If that's the kind of notion that floats around in your cranium when we find ourselves in perhaps the best post season milieu that could have been imagined since the bracket was revealed... I can only imagine the types of things you think about on a regular basis.

I thought you were going to go with the 6th team from a conference in the sweet 16 angle.

Actually i think we win easily tomorow. Middle tennesse blew their load and have never faced a zone like ours.

I'm what many would call a "pessimist", however, I think of myself as a "realist". I am never surprised when we lose and frequently surprised when we beat good teams. This year I'm ecstatic we got into the NCAA and overjoyed we won the first game and MSU lost. I like our chances to go to the Sweet 16 but if we don't I won't be surprised or disappointed. Objectively speaking, except for those on an Orange Kool-Aid diet, I think this is right about where most of us thought we could get to at the beginning of the season. We got there, so let's be happy about it and be positive about next year. :D

Let's hope you're correct.

Here's what SI's Luke Winn had to say on the subject:

There was absolutely no way to see this coming. Middle Tennessee played two NCAA tournament teams in the regular season, and in those two games, its offensive efficiency was 76.4 (in a loss to VCU) and 83.4 (in a loss to South Dakota State). If you’re a newcomer to tempo-free stats, scoring 80-ish points per 100 possessions is abysmal. So what was the Blue Raiders’ efficiency against Michigan State, which had a top-25 defense? An unreal 132.3, the highest of any Spartans’ opponent this season. A Tom Izzo team that was widely forecasted for Houston got hit by a bolt of lightning on Friday, as Middle Tennessee shot 57.9% from three and 55.0% on its twos.

No. 15 seeds have won nine games in the expanded NCAA tournament era, and what the Blue Raiders did offensively is the second-best performance* of that nine, with only Norfolk State’s 2012 upset of Missouri featuring more improbably accurate shooting:

So, let's hope they don't catch fire again, and play to more their normal level.

And let's hope our D is a big factor in making that the case, like it was against Dayton.

Not surprisingly your post has zero likes.

I want to make a note I liked it before I read your post, and didn't do it to you out of spite. ;) Sometimes I like being the first, and G is a board staple who is hard not to like! Reward risk, folks!
(not to mention it's hard not to grin at his stuff when Ive been drinking and see that avatar...and being I posted the same thing yesterday!)
