If anyone doubts Fran was the right hire

This was really the best, realistic outcome for the season. Some losses that a young staff needed to learn from, some big wins fighting through adversary. Road wins. Rewarded the home fans with some great performances. Showed with McCord that being a Syracuse QB means something.

The thing I keep getting excited about is that Fran can use all of this. He just invalidated any negative recruiting that can be done against him.

The ACC is on notice.

We hired Fran Brown 1 year and 2 days ago. Hell. Of. A. Year.

49 weeks ago, we lost our bowl game 45-0. Just over a year ago we literally had no offense.

I remember last holiday season, the excitement after Fran's hire as he assembled his staff, started recruiting, and hit the portal. Beating out SEC powerhouses for players. Landing McCord. Realizing we could have something special brewing.

All that excitement, anticipation, and hope was paid off today. We just beat the #6 team in the country and knocked them out of the ACC Championship and probably out of the playoff. They had everything to play for, nobody (other than Herbstreit) gave us any respect. 12.5 point dogs. The refs spotted them two TDs, we were down 21-0, and we came alllllll the way back.

We have gone from damn year rock bottom, trying to scrape by with no passing game at all due to injuries and no depth, losing a bowl game 45-0, to this. In a year.

Now Fran gets a full recruiting season to cook. What a ride!

It's possible to believe this and to believe we can get a top-20 QB between now and spring ball. McCord is that good. But I think the college football world is sufficiently on notice that you cannot count Fran Brown out of any recruiting battle, and you cannot count his football teams out on the field either. I suspect we will be in the mix for a top QB, we'll see how the chips fall.

We are half as talented on defense as offense. coach did best he could and actuslly only rushed 3 once that i saw. everyone keeps on learning

Yeah agreed. Though I think retaining Nixon as OC could be our biggest win in the offseason if we can keep him. Programs will be circling.

Yep Nixon is going to be a hot commodity. If he gets a head coaching gig, what can you do, but we can’t let this be a Tony White situation, JW needs to hold up a 7 Eleven to find the money if that is what it takes

Agree I was there we lost our top 3 interior DL and our OL were equally bad (again we've had what 7 good games 5 bad from the ol?) the staff were miracle workers to get that game close any fan crapping on them that day were ing idiots.
