Our schedule is brutal next year, I won’t be mad at 7-5 . Just let Fran keep building and let him know he is loved here. Let’s not jump to any conclusions like we did with babers but I believe we found the ultimate diamond in the rough.

Look at what a different player Pena became. He was an afterthought as a receiver in the old regime and primarily a return guy... And this year he's a legit dude that looked like the Cuse version of an Edelman. Never thought he had that in him, but this staff brought it out.

There are many many cases of kids having MORE talent than they show because coaches might not put them in a great position to be successful. Coaches have to put them into successful situations(play calling/ situational analysis) and ALSO be competent teachers of each position group. Average position coaches and OC's can ONLY do 1 of those things at a high level typically.. Right now,Fran has a high level staff across the board.. Have to hope he can keep this crew together another few years atleast.

One thing I haven’t seen mentioned about Coach Fran is that we never got blown out this year. Under Dino, we had more disasters than I care to remember the most recent being the Virginia Tech debacle last year. Even the pitt game this year was an outlier because of the pick sixes, and if you look at the actual stats, our defense was excellent in that game and by no means were we dominated.

To be fair he was supposed to be a bigger part of our O last year. And in 2022 he played hurt and still got 19 catches on a team trying to feature an NFL RB.

This might just be the high of last night talking, but I am starting to look at next year‘s schedule as more of an opportunity. I think we’re going to shock some teams next year.

As Yogi Berra once said..."if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying ". And is there ever tampering with coaches, families, trainers, friends on teams, etc? To me you hunt in this version of college.
