the season is …….

Disapointed that Rice is a non factor and Pringle isn’t ready. Ferguson has not impressed. Collins has been put in a blender in pass pro.

I saw exactly the same thing with Collins. The NT from UT abused him and, even in run fits, he got no push in short yardage situations against 55 and 92 on UConn. Need to get Miller ready. I'm giving Pringle a pass - great size and (reportedly) good feet, but NRFPT. Ferguson is good but can be a mixed bag ... lacks consistency.

Also, per Ryan's post above, Angeli's backside is exposed with Mack out. Poor communication on LB blitzes, especially delays.

Ferguson hasn't been as bad as I thought. Collins is good at times but then has like 2-3 bone head mistakes. Spoon has been the worst, he's a guard playing tackle. Hes often slow off the snap, and gets beat on leverage alot... Mack was fantastic in the first game, sucks that he got hurt...
I think tonight, is the time to bring out our Mammoth! Big Byron!
The LT position Bertrand has been serviceable but hes kinda light even tho hes over 300...
Finally Joe Cruz, great pass protector... run game not so much. Hes atheltic but he doesn't have the strength to maul DTs.

I was watching the replay of the UConn game the other day and I noticed on a couple of run plays in the second half, the OL was not firing off the ball at all. It was like the entire unit sat their and waited for the DL to come to them. And I don't mean a couple guys, i mean the entire unit. I don't understand what was going on.

Replying to myself here, but is it maybe because these were RPO plays where Angeli can either hand it off or decide to keep it and pass it? But I would think for these instances the OL would still block as if its a running play right?
