ESPN loves having the Irish on Primetime. If Syracuse is 3-0 that will give them enough reason to have that game at night.
Looking at the week 5 schedule it looks like if we beat Maryland that game with Notre Dame will be an 8pm ESPN or ABC start.

That might be an ABC game if both teams are unbeaten

Honestly looking at the week 5 schedule its obvious why Gameday didn't go to South Carolina-Georgia this week because they may have to go to Columbia in week 5 for Mizzou vs. South Carolina as that is the only ranked vs ranked matchup right now if So. Carolina beats Georgia.

While 8 pm would be great, a 3:30 game would be preferable. Win or lose, it gives our team time to get home and get a good night sleep. Remember they already lose 1 night due to Lville game being on Friday.

Please let us both be undefeated! Me and my pops are flying up to go to the game w my bro who lives in Hoboken. I will be a man possessed that day if I get to see an undefeated Cuse vs a top 10 undefeated ND in prime time.

Honestly the only Gameday spots for 9-27.

Georgia vs. Tennessee
Missouri vs. South Carolina
Florida State vs. NC State
If we beat Maryland, Syracuse vs. Notre Dame at Metlife.
some historical or I-AA spot.

It is a really weak schedule week

A good night sleep?? Really??

Yeah really - guess you've never played football - it's called recovery time. Beating ND is wishful thinking, beating Lville is a must win.

Why is it wishful thinking? I honestly have no idea now good this team is or isn't. If we played like this against Villanova instead of sleepwalking, losing our QB and not having 2 o-lineman suit up would you chalk it up to wishful thinking? The team i saw today can compete. Run and blitz. Run and blitz. Run and blitz.

There is small chance the times are announced on Monday but more likely than not at least part of acc slate with be held for 6 day pick.

Currently I see this for windows for the ACC:
8pm abc
7pm espn 2
330 abc
330 espn u
4 or 8pm espnnews
ACCN 1230 (could be split window)
acc regional 1230
1 or 2 espn 3 game (non conference games)

I currently have Syracuse-ND on abc, FSU-NC st on espn 2(assuming fsu beats Clemson next week), unc-Clemson on abc 330, duke-Miami with 330 espnu the rest is close

I'll be at the game, and I'd prefer 3:30 or so over a late start. Leaves comfortable time for tailgating, and doesn't require my brother and his friends to drive back to Syracuse in the middle of the night. I'll also be heading up to The Dome for the Maryland game. Two live games in a row. Been awhile since I've had that opportunity. I am psyched...

I think his point is less about recovery time, and more about the fact they are college kids. I don't know how much sleeping will take place, especially if they win the game regardless of what time they get back to Cuse.

CFB TV Guesses for 9/27 (MattSarz)

Notre Dame vs. Syracuse is unique because of the changeover possibly required to get the stadium ready for the Jets game at 1pm. The Steelers, Chargers and Cowboys are also playing games on fields a day after a college game, but ABC rarely passes on a Notre Dame road game when it has an available 8pm window to use. Last time ND played on ABC when the game wasn't at 8pm was 2011 at Pitt...when they had an available 12pm window for the game, No 12pm window to use. SU isn't really the sexiest opponent for ND to play in primetime, but it might be their best available game.

Would Gameday come to a neutral site game, i am thinking no, there wouldnt be a college atmosphere.

gameday is likely headed to Missouri- south Carolina which will be the cbs game then herby will fly to metlife for the call
