IMO, the tongue lashing JB gave him was well deserved. He looked like he was out of sorts and unfocused from the opening tip. Unfortunately, that's happened far too much this year.

I thought Alan's response to JB after the lashing was positive. JB lashed out then leveled off trying to talk to him vs yell. AG was cheering his tail off and never once stopped being a teammate. He has to have another good game or two in him. I really think there will be openings vs WVU.

Q did go down again, so what ever his issue is it seems to flare up on contact

Griffin seems like a guy that needs to get cooking early. Might be a confidence thing, which then feeds his focus.

Quincy is a little different. We need to a) prioritize getting him the ball near the paint and he needs to b) not be content take perimeter jumpers. Good things happen when he goes to the basket. Even the misses are decent shots.

Griff seems like his own greatest hype man. He hits a shot and gets in the zone. It’s almost like the moment he sees the ball go in the rim, his first thought is “give me the rock back” and he locks in on D. Otherwise, total mess.

I think Griffin also has some personal issues within his family that’s causing him to be unfocused. His child’s mother posted a pretty nasty comment on one of SU’s Instagram posts several weeks ago - something to the effect of “someone tell Alan to come home and take care of his child”. Not sure if it was ever deleted or anyone else saw it, but I found that strange and may be contributing to his issues with focusing.
