here it is.

Going into today, SU was #1, ND #2.

Then, #9 Albany loses at home by a goal to #5 MD.

Even though we (9-1) beat ND (6-3) at their place. Oh Lord

Is that even official?

According to the NCAA RPI from their website...

Maryland was #5 and Albany was #9 as of Monday April 10.

How does Maryland win and drop, and Albany jump from #9 to #4?

I guess we need to define what is 'official'. The snap I posted is the Laxpower pseudo-real-time RPI. They tend to update after each game finishes. I think the NCAA only updates on a weekly basis. So we may not see an update from them until after this weekend's games. :noidea:

I have to assume they use the same formula (as I think the NCAA has published their's), but who knows...

But I agree, something seems a bit fishy (Hobart grads????).

The RPI metrics do not seem familiar with the Herman Edwards' maxim: "You play to win the game."

So what you are really saying is that statistics are as messed up as the humans that vote in the ranking polls. Great, now I can't trust numbers, this might explain why I don't win the lottery...
