I'm in a show hole, need suggestions

I couldn't disagree more. At this point I think his character is wearing on me to where I was having a hard time getting through this season because he's ruining it for me.
I understand that. Hopefully this season has broke his silliness.

Absolutely loving The Chair Company and thought Death By Lightning was really good.
Death by Lightning is proof of concept of the anti-Hallmark movie: Docuseries about less-remembered US Presidents, released just in time to keep middle-aged men away from their families during the holidays.

Yeah, i can't stand looking at him.
And Gary Oldman's schtick isn't really that interesting.

I mean, i kinda like the show, but maybe more just for the atmosphere, that they have an 'old lady' spy, and the general lack of guns. But, the big season crime/themes are kinda pedestrian—maybe that's by design, but i feel like the show calls for bigger concepts. Then again, maybe i'm connecting British Intelligence stuff with Bond stuff, and expecting something where i shouldn't be.

That's exactly how I feel. Roddy is the worst thing about the show by far. Jackson being a disgusting that is always 5 steps ahead of everyone is fairly annoying. The best thing about it is that you can count on getting 6 episodes of pretty good to good tv every 9-10 months.

And now I’m not going to spend the money on apple.

I t truly hated severance. I know I need to get to the 4th episode or so but I just can’t picture it happening.
What don’t you like? I can’t imagine. I think it’s stunning visually, and the depth of detail is amazing. After you watch the next episode, try to find a show breakdown YouTube video for that episode. Maybe that will enhance your appreciation. But, hey, I understand—I (famously) did not like Breaking Bad after a couple of episodes. Completely gave up on it for years, until the hype grew and my friend convinced me to try again. Not sure how many times I’ve binge-rewatched the whole thing since then.

You should just for Severance. We're also at season 5 of Slow Horses and I didn't feel this way until this season so you're gonna get your money's worth way before you get to this point

I didn't love this season as much as the others. Seemed like it took too long to go anywhere and then try tried to throw it all together at the end.

But the utterly unrealistic and outrageous nature of the show and its characters is what I like about it.

Happened to me and has happened to nearly everyone I know that watched it. And some just won't finish that first season. I'm glad I did.

Yeah, I almost bailed after the first episode of Slow Horses because there is no way the ‘confusion’ about what was said could have stayed. I’m quite sure those are all taped/recorded and reviewed post script.

Sorry for the spoilers to anyone who hasn’t watched.

The Beast in Me—Netflix
Claire Danes as a troubled author and that guy from The Americans as a controversial real estate mogul. Interesting so far—into two or three episodes.
This is pretty good. Do check it out.

the wifey really enjoyed both season of ted danson's A MAN ON THE INSIDE.
myself i just watched ALIEN ROMULUS. wanted to luv it. the special efx are great. plot not.
all the sequels IMO get better technically but fail for me emotionally to the original.
better gear but less fear. felt the same way with Blade Runner . kinda better but more worse.

(BTW Blade Runner was the very first disc i ever watched on the brand new laser disc technology .
friend of mine's dad was a doctor who ran off with his nurse . thus he got all the new high tech toys . )

Just finished Wayward. Fair to middling and I’m being generous.
I'm almost done with that one. I've been entertained by the weirdness. I think I've got just one or two episodes left.

Wayward. Yeah, I only got a few episodes into that and then dropped it. I think it’s just difficult for me to find anything interesting in stuff that features ‘young people’ these days.

There’s a new season of Stranger Things coming? I’m going to have to try hard to get back into that. Liked the first season. And not so much after that.

Did anyone watch The Ipcress File (series from a few years ago)? Reworking a 1965 Michael Caine movie. I’m just into Season 1, episode 4. Nice-looking, stylish. Not dull, not exciting, either. Worth a look. British spy stuff, Cold War era.

The next episode of Pluribus seems to be scheduled for Wednesday instead of Friday. Turkey Day thingy, according to some. Wiki confirms 26th.

The Beast in Me

Just finished it. Pretty good. But I’m surprised something didn't happen. Don’t read this until you’ve finished the series.

I actually woke up from this thought. I was certain it was going to be revealed that the wife’s body had been buried near the writer’s home, and was somehow responsible for the odor/plumbing issues in her house. And that the reason for the dogs constantly finding their way onto her property was because they were cadaver dogs that Rick had acquired somehow.

How did they not do this? Why? I mean, what was the purpose of the dogs, the dogs, the dogs—so much about the dogs, and the plumber. I feel like I missed an episode, and all of this was in the show.
