I don't know, it's not that big of an honor that Nike "selected" us. They had a default criteria, no? If Butler was a Nike school and won a title they would have selected them too.

I don't think their hand was forced in any way. Maybe they would have, but all of the teams chosen are big name, top tier schools.

I'd like to venture a guess that upwards of all SU grads consider their school to be Syracuse University...NOT CUSE. That alone makes these jerseys a non-starter. Secondly, there is no blue to be seen anywhere on them. That said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I for one will not be purchasing one...

Secondly, there is no blue to be seen anywhere on them. That said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I for one will not be purchasing one...

There hasn't been blue since before I was a student here (four years). Blue is gone, it's not even considered a color of our's any more.

I feel a little bad to take shots as Griner, who is going to go down as one of the best players in women's basketball history. She really is a once in a generation type player, and I have no reason to believe she's anything but a good person.

Of course, Yeti's can be nice, too, if Harry and the Henderson's is to be believed.

Thing about nicknames is once they're set, they're set, and protesting usually make it worse. See: The Monkey, Koko.

I won't wear or display anything that says CUSE on it, but anyone else can do as they please and I'm not offended.

I quintuple hate the big S flag followed by the smaller C U S E flags. We can't afford three more fluckin' flags?

Neither is blue, don't understand the argument. Grey isn't even a color, period.

As for the 'cuse: I remember at a party in Albany a friend said we were "from 'cuse - well that's what we call it". To which two of us responded "no, that's what you call it". I graduated from Syracuse, home of the Orangemen. You want to call it something different go ahead!

Also in response to the other poster on the flag front, I agree with the needing of three extra flags but its already tough enough for them to make it around the court with the five they have. Can't stand seeing Scuse running around the court.

The only "official" school color is Orange as voted upon back in 1890. However, the University has long "adopted" the color blue to go with Orange. All you have to do is look at any number of SU sponsored products that are sold to know that. Even Otto is orange and blue.

Much like white - precisely why I'm not upset about it. Now if we follow in the footsteps of the 'Black Devils' and start wearing black instead of orange on the road, there will be cause for legitimate outrage.

Although it's traditional for the home team to wear white, it's the home team's choice.
Is suspect many here would be perfectly fine with the Orangemen wearing their Orange unis at home.
