Information I was told about our bowl game situation

So the ACC has 9 bowl tie ins. With FSU in the title game with a presumed wi that would be 10 spots and 1 odd man out correct?

Why would Cuse be at risk after going 4-4 in conference rather than 3-5 Maryland or Pitt?

Why wouldn't the ACC take this chance to screw Maryland over?

1 win rule in regards to conference record so a 3-5 could be selected before us but I'm 99% we go to a bowl before pitt.maryland ,us and bc seem about the same though

My friend told me to watchout for 3 bowls. 1.Heart of Dallas 2. Little Ceaser's 3. Advocare/Military Bowl.

Heart of Dallas would just have to pick SU over a Pac-12 team.

I was told if Buffalo gets selected for Little Cesear's Bowl if Northern Illinois makes the BCS the Detroit people may want Syracuse versus Buffalo rather than Pittsburgh because of the NU thing. We would need 2 B1G in the BCS for this to happen.

For us to get the Advocare/Military Bowl we would need Rutgers and SMU to lose on Saturday then have the Pinstripe Bowl select Georgia Tech to go against Notre Dame and the ACC would have to select which of Maryland or Syracuse would go the Advocare and Military Bowls.

He told me is 90% certain Syracuse will go Bowling so I am confident we will be playing another game.

acc doesn't have a tie in the pinstripe so that would involve paying off aac and having there last bowl team go to compass

I haven't seen the team (in person) since 2002. I win, and that's why they need to come to Dallas.

I have spoken, no pants.
Gotta love bowl season! May the best man win!

I'm in favor of Dallas (Or Houston, San Antonio, Shreveport, NOLA). Obviously these are close enough for me to attend with my family. However, so long as the Orange go bowling, I will not complain about which bowl takes us. The 15 practices, recruiting advantages (3 bowls in 4 years) and just plain goodness of watching Orange football after the regular season are all appealing enough in their own right.

I think we'd be taking the Big 12's slot in the Pinstripe. That would be assuming that ND successfully lobbies themselves somewhere warmer, which one of the links posted here said they were trying to do.

Isn't the ACC announcing their bowls on Sunday 12/8? Could make for an anxious night if one bowl slot comes down to Pitt and Cuse.

nd would have to go to independence bowl/dallas then since poinsettia bowl has said thy are taking a mac team with there open spot

if nd went to independence it would nearly guarantee both us and pitt go bowling since an acc would be likely pinstripe replacement and then the other could go to pizza bowl or dallas bowl

It's going to be Dallas.

Florida. It's all lined up.

The AAC has a future relationship with the Compass Bowl and doesn't have a future relationship with the Pinstripe Bowl. My understanding was that the AAC would want to send a team to a bowl they have a future relationship with, and if Rutgers isn't bowl eligible the AAC team Houston would travel better to Alabama than New York City. The ACC would send either Boston College or Georgia Tech to the Pinstripe Bowl to play Notre Dame.

So what you're saying is that I need to root for Rutgers to lose this weekend.

I can do that.

Mark, is the ACC just announcing its contract bowls on Sunday or is it all bowls which ACC teams play in. I hope it is just the former. If it is the latter that could mean that Heart of Dallas is taking one of the PAC 12 schools (OSU or WSU) and can announce on Monday regardless of what the ACC announces on Sunday.

I am so curious about how the ACC will handle Maryland. It would be so awesome to see them sent outside the state. Unfortunately there is money to be made so that won't happen ... but what an epic goodbye that would be.

Also, 'cuse is definitely on the cusp of being much better than its record. Whoever we play is going to have their hands full, I will predict a victory right now regardless of the projected opponent.

Unlikely that the Pinstripe would take SU again but I thought I'd mention that Villanova moving up into the top 15 and playing Cuse on the same day makes that bowl even less likely.

We've played basketball games and bowl games on the same day before. Since the Nova game is on CBS, there's nothing preventing ESPN from selecting SU for the Pinstripe.

Didn't realize that. I'll take any bowl but would prefer it not conflict with one of the biggest basketball games this year.
