Is Dungey all in with HCDB?

The world will not end if Dungey can't play or transfers. We will be better stocked at QB than we have been in years. Dino also has a couple of commits he might want to try and swing.

Elijah Cunningham. BGSU commit, not super highly rated. His high school does seem to run a lot of the formation that Babers runs. Watched is Junior highlights and he seems to be able to make the throws that the offense needs.

If Dungey wants to transfer then so be it. Start asking questions about the kids who want to transfer now. We got a coach who plays an exciting brand of football. We got a coach with head coaching experience. We got a coach who is a proven winner has won at every stop and is coming off a MAC championship. Why would a player want to leave? Says a lot about the player IMO

Hardly anyone transfers with a coaching change, no matter how much players behind closed doors said as much when it was a hypothetical. Some are told flat out they won't play or fit the system, so you get a few. When reality hits, they stay. Especially a qb who has earned the #1 spot on a D1 team. That's not easy and the idea of sitting out a full season brings them to reality fast. ED will be all in, imo.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't disagree more with it "saying a lot about the player." I absolutely will never knock a kid for being loyal to a coaching staff, as much as I want Dungey to stay at SU. Saying that it "says a lot" about him insinuates there's a lack of character, or something else along those lines, and that's 100% unfair.

I hear you, but it can speak to maturity more than character. Some kids are more mature, less emotional etc.
I am not sure it says anything more than he is a kid.

Some of these kids are still eligible for a redshirt year so they could transfer and use a redshirt year to sit out.

I'd be extremely disappointed if Dungey left. He has showed signs this year of being our best QB since McNabb. I think he would be awesome in Dino's offense. Yea, we have some good QBs coming in next year but ya never know how they will pan out. As cuse fans, we know how difficult it is to get a legit QB..with Dungey, when healthy, is a legit QB.

I agree and, potentially, he will get hit a lot less in Dino's offense than running the option.

Beat me to it! My thoughts exactly.

Kids do not generally ever want to sit out redshirt or not. They'd have to have a very, very good reason to volunteer to do it. Following coaches and or coaching change, is pretty low on a good reason scale.

Yeah -- people never seem to pick up on the pattern that we all love the recruits while they're still recruits. Then they get on campus and we poke holes in their game. If you have a player that looks like a good qb -- you don't want him to transfer. Ever. Regardless of who else you get. And QBs get hurt.

Some CL? About half! ;) I just hope the kids that want to transfer don't do it because of emotion but I get it if some do for multiple reasons.
