Is it Hunt or West?

What I find amusing is that guys on the bench are there because they don't know the plays (coaches confirmed this) or aren't giving the effort needed (fan rumors). Now fans are saying the guys on the field don't know the routes/plays or aren't giving the effort.

Think about that. Guys on the field and guys on the bench don't know the plays and aren't making an effort. If out fans are all correct in their postings here, then what the heck is going on? Must be the coaches.

And the lists goes on.

One of my favorites was the "theory" that the difference between Allen and Hunt was due to the players liking Hunt better and therefore played harder and with more "emotion" for him than they did for Allen. Fans gonna be fans.

Just don't have that "connection". You know how Welker and Brady always knew where the other was going with the ball/running a route?

Think the complete opposite for Hunt and West.

If it was effort he wouldn't be open to be missed plus if it was effort he wouldn't be on the field. Coaches don't play kids that don't give max effort and for that matter they don't play kids that don't know the routes.

I dont want to bash on the kid to much but there were a couple questionable plays against State. It was not one of his best games, and I dont think he has had a very good year accept for the wagner game. And I wonder if its injury related, or due to the passing of his grandfather but in the first half, we were driving the ball and although hunt threw the ball to the opposite hip, West being a number one receiver needs to come up with that catch. Not the greatest throw, but absolutely catchable. Then on that deep interception, West needs to turn into a defensive back. Its like he just threw up his arms to look like he tried. Was not a great throw, I believe hunt getting hit in the legs may have led to a higher throw but it looked like West could have tried a lot harder to prevent a pick in that situation. Then you go to the poor executed block on the Broyld swing pass (he is 6'2'' 200 pounds) he needs to put a better block on a smaller defensive back. Then the miscommunication with the back to back throws. I can understand the first miscommunication, but then he lines up wrong and hunt needs to tell him to take a step off the line so he is not covering up the other wide receiver (preventing illegal formation) then as he is put in motion Hunt tells him something 2 different times, and he proceeds to run the wrong route. The first one ill chalk up to miscommunication, but the second one has to be put on west. Obviously Im not a coach and maybe it was Hunts error, but I find that hard to believe when hunt yelled at him 3 different times before the snap.

on the first interception by N.C.St. west got hit on a soft block which slowed him up a little, but he did give up on the play as he basically jogged after the D.B. on the play.

both teams and in other games d-lineman made tackles far downfield on hustle alone. their seems to be a lack of effort for some reason

LOL - completely forgot about this. Makes it even funnier now.

We did throw to Wales at least once and that went for a 1st down if I remember correctly. Doesn't make sense to not get him involved, with Broyld out there in the slot and having to be accounted for it could open Wales up for some quick hitters.

maybe you didnt see the numerous plays where he didnt even attempt to go up for the ball. He gave up. That is effort

Hunt needs a lot of work, he can't hit the broad side of a barn. Doesn't know when to put some air under ball, throw it on a line. Boyle would have scored if that ball was thrown up and out ahead of him a little, the third down pass to wales was behind him he mad a great catch.

Coaches missed those numerous plays too.

Theory? It was being stated around here as FACT.

No kidding. And to suggest otherwise, even to some pretty decent posters, was met with disbelief that I could not "see" how obvious it was.
