Is there a better post season conf tourney than the BE?

There are three things that other conferences can never offer

-MSG

-Multiple teams with following causing a create atmoshphere

-The BE's size. Other conferences have 5-6 good teams so there are some boring quarterfinal games. But in the BE even the 1 vs 8/9 game is a great game every year. The top teams in the BE do not lose so often because of the bye, but because they are playing a good team right off the bat.

The BE Tourney will be looked back on as the single best Conference Tournament that ever existed. What else can you say? Nothing is remotely close.\

From the setting @ MSG to the quality of competition. Ask yourself which conferences have ever put 9-11 teams in the Dance consistently? Watching this level of basketball tear at each other for 4 days has led to amazing spectacles such as the Cuse/UConn bazillion OT game.

It's passing, of course, but it has to be appreciated for what it is. It's truly one of college basketball's most riveting events. The other conference tourneys don't come within a mile of it. I'm just pissed we won't get more of it, from a U0fL perspective. Dam, we were just getting into it.

If ACC can entice Nortre Dame, I'd be surprised if Swofford doesn't make a play for moving the ACC tournament to MSG... and would also be surprised if MSG doesn't jump at that opp... It won't go over very well on Tobacco Road, but if you can have the ring, you take the ring...

ND would really help the ACC carry the NYC market (along with us) and would would be the cherry on the cake of Swofford's pwning of Tranghese and Marinatto... which, at this point, I wouldn't mind seeing...

Besides, with Boise and SD State coming in, the BE conference name has to change... it will not be the big east anymore... in name or in reality...

The Big 10 has set the bar for being inappropriately named for over 20 years. Renaming the Big East is not really necessary.
