Is there a thread about the Guy forcing the female announcer to kiss him?

That is textbook battery if she wanted to file a charge. It is offensive touching by another. I doubt the guy would get anything more than slap on the wrist, but she could do it.

The words were different, but it was just as obnoxious and unappreciated by the masses.

A hint to SU: if the cheerleaders need a microphone, the crowd doesn't want to participate. Scrap it.
 
Was this attack shown on TV or just on the screens in the dome? I didn't see it, but I was fast forwarding commercials like a boss and may have missed it.

It was just on the flat screens in the dome.
I thought they might talk about it on the tk99 morning show but doubt Lisa would want to even bring it up.
It was funny stuff to watch but you could tell looking at her that she was NOT happy with it. Maybe if it were George Cloony?

Sounds like that guy may enjoy a slap on the wrist.
 
Couple thoughts:

1) Random corny promos = $$ for the University
2) Being drunk is not an excuse for anything. He should have been escorted out and possibly banned.
 
They need to do a "Lets Go Cuse!" chant. Short and a very deliberate and hard "Cuse" at the end.

Works well at CIS i.e. "Lets Go Duke!"

6 or 7 of those by the students, in a good cadence, gets the crowd and players going.

The university might get a little extra money up front for a few of the 'innovations' Dr Gross has introduced since he has been in charge. Don't see how Thamaestro brings in any direct money (though it might cost some money). As far as I can tell, the seat upgrade promo, the lame GO/SU chant, the bizarre decision to allow Mr Excitement to pretend to be a PA announcer, etc. don't bring in anything.

But these ill advised choices do actively discourage people from attending games, buying season tickets, buying parking passes, buying concessions, buying souvenirs, etc.

I understand some things (like most of the strange tip off times for games this season) are beyond the control of the AD office. But almost all the changes have been negative ones that the people I know dislike and wish would change. My take is that any small revenue taken by doing things like the endless blaring of commercials during timeouts are more than offset by the number of fans who don't go or go less than they used to because of all the crap they have to put up with.

I agree completely about the jerk that assaulted the women doing the promo on the Dome Cam. No excuse for that. Period. I hope he got arrested.
 
I think DJ "Beat Your Tweets" is there just to keep the students interested.

He's not really needed during basketball season, and there aren't any students to listen to him during football anyways.

Paying him to be the PA announcer is beyond reason. He should have been fired after the "Now playing QB for Syracuse, John Barker" incident.

The worst part of going to the games at the Dome is listening to Mr.Excitement and all the talking the commentary he does during the games. Just announce the players who score, foul calls, and timeouts. I hate when he adds so much more over the PA. Mr. Excitement needs to be put on a word diet during games.

I've had drunken female announcers slap the make on me and I was ticked off. My wife just laughs, she's use to it.

Yeah she was facing my seats when she walked over to the press tables and she looked a little frazzled. Who can blame her? The kiss was creepy and uncomfortable to watch and he was way out of bounds.

The guy looked like he was up to something when she was announcing his gift and then BAM he went in for the kill. It was like something you see on TV.
