Is this a crowd clapping record?

It's deader than dead in there this season. And the crowds have dropped off from last year - we'd need over 28,000 per game in conference play to win the attendance crown.

Not sure what happened to the excitement. This is a good team.

I'm sure it hasn't helped the size of the crowds that the home opponents have sucked, but not sure that that has the same impact on the liveliness of the crowd. I was at the Temple games in MSG and though we clearly had at least 3/4 of the crowd we rarely got anything going in terms of sustained crowd support - IMO.

There was a Seton Hall game in the mid to late 90s that might have been worse. I think they had 20 points before we scored.

It's a stupid tradition IMO. If the guys don't score in the first couple of possessions, I think it starts to affect them. At the very least, the clapping should temporarily stop when someone is shooting a free throw.
