the issue with masks will be what do they plan on doing with kids. its not a given kids will even be in the queue for shots by the fall. And we already know people are making fake documents up to make the whole process far from perfect.

I separated our group into individual accounts years ago. I knew there would be a pandemic one day.

Actually, I just didn't want to pay and collect anymore.

Virginia opens to all adults on April 18. I'm already on the waiting list. If I'm not fully vaccinated by football season then something has gone terribly wrong.

But the other complication with this is booster shots. I don't keep up with this completely, but when are they needed, and how will they monitor that?

I hope all get vaccinated, I really do. But I think things get tricky trying to enforce it for things.

You're Nostradamus. I'd love to separate into individual accounts, but I literally hand out the tickets 2 min before we walk up the hill to the Dome from the tailgate, because half of my crew has had so much fun in the parking lot, they don't trust themselves with a ticket until absolutely necessary. So this mobile ticket thing could either be really good for me, or really bad.

Great question on booster shots. I assume we'll get some sort of updated card. I think this is an extremely tricky (near impossible) type of thing to enforce while it's in the infancy stages.

here the thing.. a large number of people are getting the shots for free thru whatever health insurance plan tie in they have.. those systems already probably have an app/website that you can login to verify shots. you could probably get to 75% or more people with phones and logins to without creating any new app or having to spread your info out.

how many people are getting shots with no way of tracking them is the question. The homeless and others in tough spots but thats also not generally the people showing up at the Dome with money for tickets..

I think there’ll be some impact on attendance, most likely minimal though.

I do think that being fully vaccinated will be necessary for most events, and eventually a number of businesses.

I’m probably in the vast minority here, but I don’t plan on getting vaccinated. At least not at this time. I will hold onto my ST’s and I won’t go if I’m not allowed.

I will confess my ignorance, but I thought the point of these mass vaccinations is to establish herd immunity. What's the point of doing all this if we are going to keep mandating vaccinations, testing, and quarantines for every case that pops up come fall? At some point, the people that want to be protected will be, and the others can deal with the situation as it arises (if it arises).

As of now, my kids arent old enough to be vaccinated. They likely won't be allowed to attend, and I won't be going without them (nor would I make them get tested to go, if that remains the system). There are always leaves to be raked, and apples to be picked, I suppose?

I plan on getting vaccinated as soon as I get the call (I decided not to rush it and make up things so I could get one at a CVS 3 hours away even quicker like so many have done).

But do they give you a congrats you've been vaccinated sticker that you wear to these games as proof?

The vaccination card is on card stock so I photocopied it and carry it in my wallet.

I'm not sure they'd say kids can't attend if < 16, since they are not currently eligible to be vaccinated. I think that would be a very poor choice. That's probably a decent chunk of tickets, concessions, merchandise etc. etc. Lots of lost revenue.

Bills have made it clear kids will need to vaccinated.. Hoping of course by fall more of them will be, Phizer and Moderna have started testing of those various age groups. they are small tests though so they may take awhile. Especially as rates go down around country hopefully. There is a pretty good chance 12 and up happens by fall though

The vaccine should be approved for 12 to 16 year old's by this summer.
The schedule for 5 to 11 year old's is, as of now, early 2022. Infants soon after that.

This is true, but time really flies. And nothing ever happens quickly in the land of bureaucracy. Especially in the summer when people will be clamoring to get away and make up for last year.

Now is the time to be planning given that vaccinations will be available to all adults by the end of the month.

My littlest one (who will be 8 come fall, and maybe 55 lbs) eats his way through the games - some combo of candy, popcorn, pretzels, nachos, and ice cream. I swear it runs me like $50-60 per game. But that's nothing compared to the folks that "drink" their way through the games. Jeebus.
