I think Coach Brown and the Syracuse program has the online college football community worried. Plenty of people online out there hoping the caste system in College Football survives because we are starting to threaten that. People who know nothing about Coach Brown and his story are making a lot of assumptions that he isn’t trying to build a northeastern powerhouse and just trying to get the next highest paying head coaching job. I don’t know about that…. I also wouldn’t assume we wouldn’t put up a huge campaign to prevent that from happening.

Putting the cart way before the horse, I just hope that he CAN build that northeastern powerhouse you are referring to. If a better offer presents itself as a result , I can’t control that. I just assume that someone who is as competitive and relentless as he represents himself to be (letter #3 in DART) wants to climb as high as he can. I might be wrong, but I don’t think so.

Yep. If he leaves, he'll have shown the world (and most importantly the candidate pool) what is possible at Syracuse, and hopefully be turning over the keys to a program in phenomenal shape.

I used to work at a job that had a small union (it still does). Every three years come contract time, without fail, the rank and file would speculate if we would be replaced with contract workers. It never did, and it still hasn't over there.

Intent of this post is I’m not worried about it. Just an observation via twitter, random podcasters outside of Syracuse, and message boards assuming an outcome if we get too successful we won’t be able to keep him. I wouldn’t be so sure about that because I think the program is elevating with its leader.
