It’s Portal time!

Sad thought: if he picks FSU, first time playing in the dome w 30k in attendance, they’ll be booing him instead of rooting for him

Crazy to play for us and not experience that
When he goes off, those boos you hear won’t be directed at him.

Edit - can't believe I used the wrong spelling for hear and left it that long.

Kadary is the 7th (!!) highest rated player in the Athletic’s ranking of transfer/still available high school prospects. Justin Powell was 15th, btw. The other point guard types or attacking wings (who can drive the ball) that come in among the top 20 are TyTy Washington, Minnesota’s Marcus Carr (who is exploring his pro options), Timmy Allen from Utah, Adam Miller from Illinois, Matt Bradley from Cal, Marreon Jackson from Toledo, Xavier Pinson from Missouri, Tamar Bates from IMG, Khristian Lander from Indiana, and Nimari Burnett from Texas Tech. I guess you could throw in Rocket Watts, who has been like the Michigan State version of Alan Griffin in that he lacks focus and consistency.

Are we really just rolling with Joe freakin Girard at PG next year and not looking for a guy who can drive the ball into the lane and get buckets at the rim?

No, we have Torrence.

Unfortunately, seems like it. So incredibly disappointing. Team could have been outstanding next year with KR. Now it seems like the D will suffer mightily, and the O will not have a legitimate floor general. Coaching malpractice from JB in my opinion.

Ok, there are approximately 1200 layers in the portal w9th coming. There are approximately 28 guards, 38 forwards and about 8 centers that had a 247 rating of .90 or better. That is pretty low but it makes sense because most of these other players are bench warmers who are looking for playing time. For example, Symir Torrence had a 2019 ranking of .970 which was lower than his 2020 rating. Another example, Powell who just signed with Tennessee had .91 rating.

Top 100 players had high school ratings of .993 to .965.

it has been mentioned that we got two of higher ranked transfers. Cole Swider was rated 44 in his class and 35th forward in This portal. Symir was rated as 75th in the 2019 High School class and 7th among the guards in this transfer portal.
