It's showtime -- let the (NBA) games begin!

Guys, don't do this!

Kevin Durant is an incredible player. The Warriors are better with him.

They're still really good without him, and the team they had last year (with the depth they sacrificed in part to get Durant) was all time, but, it's Kevin Durant!!

Listen, I get it. You cannot turn down a HoF that makes your first team arguably the greatest assemblage of teammates ever (on paper).

All I'm saying is that there is an argument against it.

The MVP is LeBron James. If the MVP isn't LeBron its Harden or Leonard.
Westbrook is having a great year but he wouldn't be putting up these stats without the high usage rate.
I think Westbrook is a top 4 candidate obviously.

I'm most closely aligned with this ranking.

I think we take for granted everything LeBron does and how well he does them.

Saw a great stat on twitter; Russ has scored 75 clutch baskets this year (I think its like a 5 point game in the last 5 minutes, something like that). 72 of them were unassisted.

That's amazing and also the least surprising stat in history.

He goes full Brodie.

Yeah Durant with the Warriors isn't a Ewing theory at all. If OKC won the title...

The end of regulation last night was a perfect example

I hate watching both Harden and Westbrook. So I'm rooting for Lebron or Leonard.

And honestly, if I'm starting a team(and not taking age into account) I'm taking Lebron and Leonard before those two hard watches. In terms of winning, they are more valuable. The Cavs suck when Lebron doesn't play. Leonard plays both ends better than anybody.

Steph has been better without Durant. Can't deny that.

For whatever its worth, for the entire season, Steph has a 59.4 eFG% with Durant on the court, and 54.6% when he sits, though of course his usage is higher without KD.

The Warriors have been worse without Durant though.
They beat the Rockets and Spurs on the road in a back to back.

They struggled right when he got hurt. They lost 3 of their first 4 games without him.
They have won 9 in a row since then.

Interesting. Wonder what those numbers are the last 9 games. His assists are way up too.

Yes, they're a great team with or without him. But they've been worse without him, even with the 9 game win streak. Their win % has dropped and so has their point differential. I don't understand why people are acting like Durant getting hurt suddenly made the Warriors a dominant team. They've been dominant all year, and have been slightly worse since he got hurt.

Yeah... I just don't care about PER at all.

29/11/8 on 62% TS% versus 32/10/11 on 55% TS%...it's tight, but I think Harden's stats are more impressive, plus he's on a team that at least has a semblance of a chance at a title.

I also just don't like the fact that Westbrook has become so obsessed with averaging a triple double that he just doesn't bother to contest shots anymore. He's purposefully gotten worse defensively to try to win the MVP, whereas Harden has played harder on defense than he has in the past.
Westbrook's averaging ten boards a game! He's 6'3"!

Yes, he's averaging 10 boards a game at the detriment of his defense. He's never been a good defender before, but he's basically started to turn into what people spent years complaining about Harden for. I always looked at Westbrook and thought "there's plenty of more skilled players, but it's just incredible how hard he tries every play every game". Now, he's purposefully given up on trying defensively so that he can be in position for rebounds.

So Ricky Rubio... he just finished the month of March averaging 17/10/4.5 on 47/44/93 shooting splits. He's basically been a top 5 PG ever since the Wolves/Knicks trade rumors fell apart.

Bill Simmons made a good point about this Rajon Rondo on national TV is like a top-five player in the NBA. The bulls TNT win streak is insane.20 games in a row at home on TNT. The bulls actually swept the season series from the Cavs.
One caveat to that LeBron James sat out the second home game for Cleveland.

I think the other thing is that his usage level is stalling the development of Adams, who was really doing well at the end of last year.

My opinion, I think if you put Adams on Houston, he would be producing a lot more.

Seems like he's been playing in the NBA since 1985 for some reason. I cannot believe he is only 26 years old.

I still vividly remember stumbling home from the bar at like 2 AM to watch that gold medal game.

I was at Lake George partying and watching the game on a small TV in the middle of the night. That was awesome.
