What's even more amazing, to me at least, is Harkless came into the season at basically 30% from 3 for his career.

Is this more or less remarkable than the fact that Rajon Rondo was the best 3PT shooter by percentage on the Bulls this year? (and has quietly shot around 37% over the last 2 years now).

probably not, but the incentive thing just makes it all the crazier to me.

How about Brook Lopez; 3-31 on 3's before this year, he made 134-386 this season

Same with Marc Gasol. He was 12/66 from 3 before this year and then threw up 268 of them this season while making 39%.

What are your guys thoughts on what the Nets pulled last night? Resting everyone so they can be fresh for the Golf course, they don't even have their draft pick, so its not like they were tanking, I think its a joke.

Rumor out of Boston is the Nets tanked because they don't have their first round pick because of trades with the Celtics and the Nets thought the Bulls would be a tougher opponent for the Celtics. So the Nets tanked to hurt Boston.

This however would be wrong as the Celtics preferred the Bulls to the Heat.
Nobody wanted the Heat first round. With Waters Island and that team being a top 4 team in the East since Christmas.
Bulls have experience but they don't scare me as much as the Heat would have.

I think the Heat would have been a tougher matchup, but lets be honest, the Nets were losing that game either way, Its a disgrace that they rested guys the last game of the season, I would say dock them a draft pick, but Boston has all of theirs anyway, but if I were Silver I would fine the Nets and send a message.

Booker's minutes have been pretty sporadic lately anyways. Lin and Brook were obviously rested though. I can kinda get it with Brook...he has a pretty extensive injury history, and the only thing that could make the Nets situation even worse is if he had gotten hurt. But by that logic, he should have been resting a long time ago.

Lin resting is indeed really weird. I can only guess that they tried to justify it by saying they wanted to take a longer look at their young guys?

Just realized that there isn't a team in the playoffs this year with a losing record. I could be wrong, but hasn't it been a while since that's happened?

Phil Jackson: "Maybe Carmelo is better off somewhere else".

Bruh.. you're better off somewhere else - Get the **** out of NY with your triangle nonsense.

The guy mailed it in the second he got the job, thank you for Porzingas, now go back to Montana.

Glad the playoffs are here. Looks like some solid match-ups. The NBA has a problem though and they need to address it. The season is too long to begin with and now you have superstars taking the night off to forego a shot at a #1 seed. Must be great purchasing tix to a spurs/ warriors game and then seeing several stars in street clothes.

Rest is effective. The math people have figured it out. The owners can stop having circuses, concerts, and festivals in their arenas to avoid back to backs and they won't have this problem, but they don't want to give up that revenue. The NBA should be the priority IMO.

Understand the rest part and agree with your other comments as well. But the season is too long. Too often I tune into a game between two middle of the road (or worse) squads in January and they're just going through the motions. The crowd is dead - hence the constant blaring of music to keep them awake. Then when you have the league's #1 superstar sitting out and foregoing a shot at the #1 seed you know you've reached a point where something has to be done.

I want to see a clean playoffs, but between Patrick Beverley going against Westbrook, Dray Green being a moron, and the Cavs shamelessly bringing Dahntey Jones back at the 11th hour for no other reason than to hit guys in the nuts, I think we're going to see some chippiness. Am I forgetting anybody?
