It's showtime -- let the (NBA) games begin!

Hate to see LeBron go down like this in a series. The haters are going to destroy him. Dude leaves it on the court every time and has great game after great game. Too bad.

Smart people know its not his fault, they are overmatched.

I've never seen a team as good as this Warriors team. That said, I've never seen a player as great as LeBron James. Basketball is truly amazing these days with the talent that's out there. I don't have a tie to an NBA team but I really do appreciate the level of play that is out there.

I still say the 96 Bulls are better, but they are right up there with any other team.

Bottom line is he is supposed to be the player of his generation. He has done an unbelievable job of getting to the finals but his record there is not ideal. He also sparked this super team concept in my opinion. You reap what you sow.

Then you must either be quite young, or you only started watching the NBA very recently (no offense intended).

What a predictable league though. Anyone want to bet who's in the finals next season ? I think it'll be quite similar to say the least.

So does anybody become the scapegoat in Cleveland after the series? Or is this just a "meh, it's the Warriors" thing and Cleveland resigns themselves to being 2nd best?

I think we all have our reasons why we think players are the best. I don't use rings to measure a player, I look at their all around games and I think he has the best one I've ever seen. I'm pushing 40 and just haven't seen any player that is that complete package. It is a debatable topic but I have just as many reasons why I believe he is the best I've seen as others would have with other players. Don't think it's that crazy of a take.

Before the series I would have guessed scapegoat. After watching the series unfold I think it's "meh, it's the Warriors".

I'm sure the Cavs move Love for George some how but I don't think that does it for them either.

Record isn't ideal but he's not beating a fat Barkley, an aging Jazz squad and a Drexler and Duckworth squad.

Pierce, Garnett, Allen and Rondo arguably started the concept, hell, you could say Jordan, Pippen and Rodman started it. Nobody had the 3 that the bulls did during those years.

I was hoping for more.

I hope all the fans who whine about how awful college refs are, and then gurgle and slobber over how consistently good the NBA refs are, were watching tonight.

They both follow orders from crooked commissioners

MJ and Pippen were drafted there. Only Rodman was a free agent. Not quite the same as the Celtics, Heat, Cavs, Warriors assembled super teams.

None of the Celtics guys were FAs.

They drafted Pierce.
They traded the 5th pick for Ray Allen.
They traded Al Jefferson, a top 5 pick(the Wolves took Jonny Flynn over Steph Curry) and a pupu platter for Kevin Garnett.

Those Heat teams were Dwayne Wade and FAs.

These Warriors teams are all draft picks and one FA in Kevin Durant.

Does it make me a "hater" if I question his defensive effort on Durant's GW 3-pter?

I think that last year was a fluke. If Curry was healthy, the Warriors roll the Cavs.
