"Heck we better beat Syracuse next season. Their not very good and we get them at Home."

Central Michigan

Why are you guys playing at Central Michigan?

CMU is coming to SU twice. BCS schools play at non-AQ schools sometimes. Like the Cocks at UCF this season, for example.
Except that this year, both UCF and Yukon (visited by Michigan) were still AQ.

Texas played at Wyoming a couple of years ago. Something that Syracuse even refused to do.

For the 2 home games we get in the future and the scheduling flexibility that comes with it. They are our only OOC "road game" and were scheduled after Maryland and Nova at the dome as well as Notre Dame in NYC.

I love these guys. If we expanded the NCAA football playoff to 7 rounds, they'd be last man in. According to Sagarin, anyway.

Nova def to start the season right? I assume we won't get a date on that till February? Be smart to make it a 330 or later I hope, with no TV coverage besides maybe an espn3.

Dear CMU Chippewa idiot,

I was disappointed when SU cancelled the game v. Wyoming...thought it would have been a cool road trip.

I have to be honest, that was about the last thing on my mind. Felt bad for Millhouse though, he bought the jacket and everything. He and some random cow chaser were going to go tenting.

I had planned to attend that game about as much as Gross did. Which was not at all.

Central Michigan fans seem fun though in that oh no reality has to punch me in the face again but deep down I'm used to it kind of way.

When I hear Wyoming I always think of Mandel #44 Robinson. ;) Oh and because of the name only...Fennis Dembo

OT - Wyoming roadtrip - My little brother (eventually) married a girl who was pre med at Wyoming while he was busy being a ski bum in Winter Park and chasing Phish around. The place is surreal, totally worth seeing. I went out to visit him in CO and we drove out to visit his future wife. We injested substances we shouldn't have and drove up over the continental divide in a flash flood style snow storm that was just nailing the pass. We were the only idiots on the road and were driving my rental Grand Am (or similar shitbox). We saw arctic hare as tall as the car mirrors, herds of elk and rams, massive ranches dotting a high plain coming out of the divide into Wyoming, and then you finally pull into Laramie. I've been all over the west but the cowboys up there are so much more legit than anything you find in the southern regions. The whole town is an old west throwback (with some chain hotels and Walmarts thrown in to let you know you haven't been teleported). It was about 35 below zero, the steak was unbelievable, the girl was a keeper, and the kids loved their football team. Maybe it was because I was young and not yet well traveled, or those previously mentioned substances, but I thought that place was pretty awesome. Unlike anywhere I've been before or since. So yeah, as you said, great great place for a road trip - though the drive west is boring going through Iowa and Nebraska unless you are a warren buffet fan and stop in Omaha. Forgive my off topic reminiscing.

i'm kinda crunked up just reading it, but sounds legit we need to get Wyoming on the schedule again.

We have a clown in charge of scheduling.

The politically correct line is that it's "in our recruiting footprint".

Since many of the new coaching staff know that area best, they have been recruiting in the Mid West while starting to focus on the ACC footprint.

I thought Midwesterners were intelligent. Actually, no I didn't. I don't know where that came from. But that thread is funny. We will roll them.

At least Michigan has a great craft beer scene. Other than that, not sure there's much difference with Wyoming.

“(Clothing) sizes are weird. They go small, medium, large, extra large, extra-extra large, extra-extra-extra large,” Martin said. “Something happened at ‘large’ where they gave up on the adjectives. That’s kind of lazy — we can do better than that: Small, medium, large, whoa, easy, slow down, stop it, interesting, American. Do you have this in a Michigan? No? Nailed it.”
