I mean this with all due respect to my admin friends it's time for the AD to demand Babers go in another direction when it comes to the DC. Ward has had some nice showings but the last two weeks are the last straw. Two teams who clearly have zero intention of throwing the ball just absolutely gashing us. If the starters aren't getting it done make a move, there's 10+ lbs on the roster. The last two drives by Pitt were an absolute embarrasement. Zero completed passes and yet they moved the ball at will. Enough with the excuses a change is needed, period.

Clock ticking. There were 5 minutes left when they got the ball and they didn’t care! Just ran it every play, because they knew they could get enough yards to at least tie the game...where they would just run it every play and score TDs because there was no clock.

*Forgot, they took a shot on 3rd and 4 once in FG range so they did throw one pass to break up the string of runs to end the game.

I want to say this is drastic, but I’ve never seen a P5 team get the opposing teams will imposed on them, multiple games in a row, like I’ve just witnessed.

It’s absolutely unacceptable. We may not have good linebackers, but you can scheme to not have games play out like this. Especially when he has one of the better DL’s in the ACC at his disposal.

Also of note, as listed above, what the hell is Dino’s Offense? Are we ever going to see it? There is zero consistency. Every game, since he’s got here, has 4-5 glimpses, followed by absolute dumpster fire series. No in-between. We either run through you like a hot knife and butter or 3 and out.

Spot on. Its scary when we know its coming and refuse to make adjustments scheme and personal wise. Heck, run blitz some gaps, blow something up in the backfield. We got gashed and its on our backers primarily. They are slow and cant lay the wood. That said, they are trying to prove to be ACC lbs while trying to impress in a defensive scheme that is ONLY played by NFL lbs. Its a tough ask.

They are there for the tackles and either take an awful angle, missed a tackle, get swallowed up and can't shed the blocker, or make the tackle, but let the runner push them another 2-3 yards after contact. It's looking like we had some misses at LB and it's coming back to haunt us. Also, Kayton Samuels is missed. He was a good run stuffer.

This was a problem last season, but I figured the talent gap was pretty wide.
This season not so much. A fresh number 2 is better than a weak number 1.

My confidence is low enough in the coaching our linebackers get that I am starting to wonder if the staff is playing our best at linebacker, or if they're playing the guys they feel the most comfortable with.
