These are kids who needs 2-3 years before they are ready. Remember pre portal, best teams had kids jr. and sr. Starting most of the time. This kid could have helped with developing himself here.

Just so hard to develop kids. Ja'Meer was never going to compete with the 4 stars they brought in last year. You want the local kids to stick it out and develop and put it together as upper classmen but now every year is a complete rebuild and you have to chase off the bottom 25% of the roster while also losing half the top 25%. Maybe he latches on at UB and turns into something.

Just so many names in the portal. Nearly 4K players. At least Fran Brown enjoys recruiting and finding guys. Half the coaches in FBS have to be ready to give up. How many guys like Ja'Meer are out there? Well thought of out of high school but not a 4 or 5 star. Really didn't play at all so no one has any idea if he's good or not?
