Jay Bromley to the Giants

"The Giants also selected Syracuse defensive tackle Jay Bromley in the third round. The 6-foot-3, 306-pound Bromley, a native of Jamaica, New York, recorded 10 sacks and 14.5 tackles for losses last season for Syracuse.

He was the 74th player selected in the NFL draft. The Giants had a need at defensive tackle ever since Linval Joseph and Justin Tuck left the team for free agency in the offseason. Bromley made 33 career starts with the Orange and showed improvement throughout his three-year career."

Not his call, but good for Bromley.

A little higher than I expected, but ok.

A third-round pick. Wow. I trust Reese...but seems like a guy that could have been there in the 5th.

Not sue I agree with the experts. Not trying to be a homer, but I saw hageman play and was not impressed. Donald impressed me. Whitlock impressed me. Jernigan impressed me. And jay has impressed me for the past two years.

I with you. Said as much on here earlier in week too, I'm sure somebody will try to throw that in my face.

He was 'rising' all week, but to 10th in the 3rd? A little high.

Giants went need over BPA, IMO.

I think he will be fine.

Jay was climbing up the boards over the last couple weeks. Despite what the pundits say, he is seen as somewhat of a "safe" pick. Great effort and team guy, no red flags in his background, solid measurables , and a very good senior film reel. I know there was a certain team hoping he'd be there in the 4th.

If you like a guy, you take him. There's no guarantee he is going to be there one pick, let alone one round later.
