My guess from reading all the tea leaves...

JJ is going to be our starting 2G and more than likely serve as our backup PG. Joe will be moving on.

Very excited about the possibility of JJ/Mintz backcourt.
Im fine with Joe coming back if we go 3 guard lineup. He will need to understand shots will be distributed differently and more M2M and if he cant contain his man he wont be staying in.

As mentioned, the board’s going to be pleasantly surprised with how this Spring and Summer develops :)
Do we know where the team will be going on their international trip?

Does Edwards decision effect this?

Judah re-posted JJ's announcement on his Instagram. Nothing's guaranteed but I don't think he would've done that if he wasn't planning on playing with him.

So either Joe will need to be content with reduced PT or wish him well and thank him for his contributions.

Syracuse backcourt next year might consist of two Top 50 recruits in the 2022 class (Mintz at #54 on 247 but close enough).

How exciting does that sound on paper? Big time potential too with Taylor coming off the bench.

Love the athleticism…..but before we get too excited can we acknowledge the need for a lot of off-season shooting practice, especially if he is going to play the 2 guard! When other players absolutely torched our zone defense this season, JJ went 3-9 (1-6 from 3) for 7 points AND 3-10 (0-3 from 3) for 6 points in the two games against us.
I wouldn’t worry about 9 shots

And Notre Dame was one of the slowest teams this year due to being so thin on the bench. Get JJ in a normal system and he's probably closer to 14PPG.
For some reason, I watched a good number of ND games this year. JJ can create his own shot. He's really good at it, especially for a young player. Thus, he took his fair share of shots at the end of the shot clock for ND, which by their nature, are often very difficult and adversely affect one's shooting percentage. Blessing and a curse, right?

I'd be willing to bet JJ is an All-ACC first-team guy as a junior. #TimeWillTell
