They talked about it again this morning on Fox and Friends, and played HCFB's explanation, which they all agreed with and found refreshing.

This is brilliant marketing whether intended or not. I bet there are good amount of football players with parents and grandparents who Fox & Friends and conservative media in general. Certainly doesn't hurt.

I will keep my thoughts to myself concerning the sprints, they did not like Bear Bryant as well. He told them this was going to happen whether that was right or wrong I will leave that to someone else. He however held true to what he said

You’re earning $ now, earn it and Fran promised to push them so those who have NFL dreams can best compete to get there and also be successful even after football is behind them.

It's like a parent following through on a dsciplinary threat. Don't say it out of thoughtless anger, and only say it, if you mean it. If you don't follow through, they won't take you seriously.

Completely agree. There's a lot of reasons he does stuff. He's obviously calculated and shrewd about what he does. But from what I saw watching the bench on Saturday, the entire coaching staff was livid with kids for missed assignments and mental errors for much of the game. They were sleep walking. I'm curious how much of this is youth / missing key leaders or just not having the right leaders step up for the team yet. Hope they learn from it.

12 noon starts for home games is what’s mostly to blame. Been saying it for years including last week predicting just what went down. Friggin college kids. Just the way it is, has been always will be:

I watched the replay last night and now this, I feel worse then I did before. Saturday is a big game.

yep, not inaccurate to say this game makes or breaks the season re winning record/decent season or not. Not looking forward to the half empty dome at and with the early start watching the team needing to wake up in every respect early on hoping to see them get it together in the second half. That's if it follows the usual script.

man wouldn't it be nice if it IS REALLY different now and we see them come out smokin from the start? My keyboard to Gods ears.....

JHC.The first year I played junior hockey we had 13 rookies on the team. When we had a performance like that, coach made us do sprints in full gear after the game until we dropped. It lighted a fire under or A$$. We went on to win the Championship that year, with 13 rookies. It brought a smile to my face to see Fran do the same. Accountability!!

So, we're winning the title this year?

Yeah these weren't really "sprints". My 10 yr old daughter would have out sprinted half the team. In fairness she also dropped my ____ the last half mile of a 10k when she was 9. In my defense, I didn't want to pull a hamstring.

For sure. I have no idea, even some of the SU fans after the game posting on here saying it was disrespectful towards Uconn (how... and who cares) or that was embarrassing for the players. Ok....

Jon Gruden is a career .500 coach that lucked into a Super Bowl joining a team with an elite defense and 4 hall of famers. Greg Olson has never done anything of note ever except be a league average TE.

Maybe if they held themselves accountable after poor performances they would have done better.

My high school baseball coach loved to run the squeeze play. We'd work it every practice. If we whiffed on the bunt, we had to run out to a tree that was about 200 yards away in the middle of a field and bring him back a leaf. Certainly made us focus pretty hard on that bunt.

No problem here. I watched our guys slowly jog off the field when getting subbed out. I was in Atlanta behind our bench and watched Mack laughing and joking on the sideline when we were getting rolled. Maybe this has been coming for a couple weeks.
