Surprised it took this long. Heard this was likely back in Sept. Just not a great fit even before the Angeli injury. SU will be adding a portal WR, possibly 2.

It hurts more as an experienced depth piece. Even with Angeli, his on field performance didn’t match the 5 star rating. I’ll remember him mostly for the fumbles, drops and for Fran giving him a chance.

Theres talent there but its young. I think Russell and another frosh are likely to see serious minutes plus we have the Juco kid coming

Assuming that the kids who redshirted aren’t ready, we need one outside guy.

We have three slots coming back. And the two Frosh plus the JUCO outside. Plus Samuel. So 14.5 total seems like a right number.

Really wish the Summer portal was still a thing. Then you can wait and see before getting a guy.

Not surprising since his uncle was calling radio shows saying Johntay wouldn't get the opportunity at SYR to showcase his talents for "The League" because our QBs were so bad. I do remember him dropping a lot of passes and fumbling a lot.

I expect him to have a Huge season, he has the ability to take a comeback route to the house like Fran said in his press conference.

The night his “uncle” shared his opinions on the staff I figured he was gone. Not because of that particular incident but there has to be something to precede it to make that opinion bubble up and over.

There are things to be concerned about with this team before we see what the portal yieldeth but I don’t think this is one of them.

We've had nice things (Cook, Gill). Now we're going to have newly minted Freshman WR starters cast in Fran's image. They will do well or better than the portaled WRs.
How do I know this?
