Don’t expect him to be here next year regardless. The kid is using us to fix his rep and show his talents. Based on his interviews it’s clear he doesn’t care for this area/school/program.
Where did you hear /see the family comment on this ?Supposedly Cook family said it's not an uncle.

Yup, all on the moron uncle. Imagine calling a post game talk show to btch about your nephew's quarterback lol. It's absolutely incredible it really is.Still trying to figure out why some folks here keep dumping on johntay. It was his dumb uncle who made the comments- he shouldn't have to suffer because of an idiot relative. By all accounts he's been a good teammate since coming here.
It didn’t sound like a prank. It sounded like the guy was 100% authentically mad, frustrated, and wanting to apply pressure for change. It was a tweet linked in this thread, I went back and I see the link is broken now. I just Googled it and their AI thinks the same thing but when you click the links it claims to source from the information isn't there.
Kinda looks like it was scrubbed. Not sure if that means it was him or if the family doesn't want to engage or what. I can definitely understand that.

How is that any different than 100 posters on this board? It didn’t sound like a prank. It sounded like the guy was 100% authentically mad, frustrated, and wanting to apply pressure for change.
It was a bad decision, possibly influenced by beer. I’m sure the caller and the whole family regrets it.
I feel bad for Rickie and Johntay neither deserves this nonsense
None of us are related to a player? How is that any different than 100 posters on this board?
You're just taking his word for it?None of us are related to a player?
What an absolute joke, and what a pathetic uncle. I'm uncle to a stellar D1-recruited baseball player. Currently Boston College and other schools recruiting him. I would never on God's green earth publicly call out his team or teammates in that fashion, not even privately.
Because there is a shareable video clip so everyone can easily listen to the call and, more importantly, the caller identified himself as a family member who watches the practice footage. How is that any different than 100 posters on this board?
Reminds me of way back when, collecting the $10 parking fee for a big annual tournament run by my kid's club team. Some of the families really need the scholie for college. You'd think they'd be the worst. Nope. The ones who have the most means complain the loudest. It's a strange world.
Somewhere way down the Cuse depth chart, there's a kid who didn't get a bag from both Texas and Syracuse just hoping for some reps and everything football teaches about life. I think of that kid too.
Or they may be a starter and not so far down the depth chart. You'd be surprised. Not as many players as you think got “bags”.You're lucky. I'm on the other end. My kid is a HS sophomore starting to get looks from FBS-level schools. There are 6 or 7 kids on his team with a chance to play ball in college. The amount of family backbiting and complaining over PT and 25 other things is insane.
The coach even laid out a formal process for complaints in August. Position coach (by text) --> position coach meeting --> repeat process coordinator --> repeat process HC. I may do a PPT flow chart for next August. Or maybe not. I'm already the "not serious" dad because I do things like compliment other kids who take away PT and targets. Some of the families really need the scholie for college. You'd think they'd be the worst. Nope. The ones who have the most means complain the loudest. It's a strange world.

Oh. Well. I stand corrected then.Because there is a shareable video clip so everyone can easily listen to the call and, more importantly, the caller identified himself as a family member who watches the practice footage.
No one share quotes from angry fans off fan boards bc no one else cares what happens here except us
