pain.

Boy is a player.

That game was won by out hitting NCSt. Owned the last 3rd of the game by dominating the LOS on both sides and just pounding them all over the field.

SU wanted it more. True reflection of their coach today.

He's been as you all advertised in the spring and preseason.

Loved the hit Lynch had where his helmet came off too.

Agreed. That hit on the TE was nasty.

Almost gave up a huge pass play too - luckily, their QB was punch drunk and over threw the WR by 10 yards .

The comments on this thread are dead on - this team can flat out hit.

I have never seen an SU team hit like this one does.

It happend throughout the game.

And Kirkland is the kind of player you have to love - we saw it during the spring game - he is tiger tough.

I picked him preseason as a surprise impact player. Makin' me proud, son. That was a de-cleeter.

Was it last year or the year before that pretty much every team we played commented on how physical and hard hitting we were?

Last year...I think. We usually beat the shlit out of our foes which effects them for weeks to follow.

Look at our opponents game the week after they play us...see Clemson vs BC today.

Kirkland missed a few assignments in the passing D. One caused a TD and the other we were lucky that the pass was overthrown.

Kirkland was a beast in the spring game. Talked to him a bit after that. He was so excited to be here. He became a preseason favorite for me as well.

The hit Kelly put on the WR early in the 3Q hurt through my TV set.

Didn't want to spoil the party but this is right on. Scary. That completely missed one down the field got me thinking, though-I've never seen Dyshawn go that far back. If Kirk was covering his spot, I wonder if some over the top safety help was assumed. Whatever. Just put him in position to move forward and he'll be fine.

#Hard-nosed #Hard-hitting

Kirkland and Kelly both hit hard. It will make opposing players want to avoid them. Kirk needs to work on his pass coverage and speed to be the total package. He sure proved he can put it on you though.

That would be an interesting statistical study.
