I noticed all of his big P5 offers were last January/February; Georgia, Oklahoma, WVU, TCU. Wonder what the story is.

He was Rivals #3 JUCO for 2023 and had some heavy offers in that cycle - not sure what happened between now and then.

Darton graduated last spring. He is in grad school. Eventually I will ask his fiance. As I have said before their wedding is in Arizona in November 2024.

Why get married while still in college? What’s the rush ? Krazy kids

Did Darton graduate and if so does he have an extra year of eligibility? You can’t like this team without being a fan of his…Played hard for a long time. Just wondering if he is a possibility for 2024.

With his size it seems he wouldn’t be a great fit for the new defense. I think it worked with the 3-3-5 because of the amount of stunts/slants we did which allowed him to use his speed and leverage. I’m not sure how much that is used in the 4-2-5 but i think we need much more size for the interior DL to stop the run. He certainly played hard and probably wasn’t a player who overachieved more considering his stature and position but he did get blown off the ball quite a bit which wouldn’t be good for a defense who’s primary goal is shutting down the run.

Yeah I can't see him being a functional NT in this scheme just due to the fact that you want some big wide body that eats up space.

I wonder if we'd consider him at FB though or something like that...

I’m assuming there were some qualifying issues. I had read some stuff on Miss st board back in the late spring/early summer that they were pushing hard for him but were going to have to move on as it was likely he was going to end up being a 2024. Sounds like he may have needed another semester (fall).

I would love Darton to be a part of the program next year if he wants. He is really easy to root for.

IF Nwokocha committed, I doubt it will be made public before Nwokocha wants to go public. I would take any hints or winks from the board (maybe with 1 or 2 exceptions) with a grain of salt.

Yeah, and the number of visitors this weekend that were a surprise is another example.

What I'm saying is that LOTS of information was shared/leaked from the big "Hibachi" recruiting weekend. Some of that was likely intentional. My understanding is that will no longer be the case.

I think a lot of the leaking that weekend was by KingJoseph, who is a prolific poster on social media.
