Looks better today, hope it works out for the kid. He does lack in confidence thats for sureI don't think his 3 point shot would improve. He knew that he had to fix that going in to his sophomore year and it looked just as bad.

His on-ball defense jumped out at me yesterday! Didn't see that here.He doesn’t need to be a great 3 point threat but needs to be able to make open 3’s
to keep defenses honest. Hope it clicks in for him and his future,
Yeah, I don't think people realized that Judah continues to develop as a basketball player. He's a lot better than he was in a Syracuse uniform. It's evident that he's worked hard in the weight room and on his skills. His on-ball defense jumped out at me yesterday! Didn't see that here.

I'd say you could see the potential here, but now it's evident that it's a core part of his playing style.I actually thought he was a solid on-ball defender here - when he actually dedicated himself to it, which was few and far between.
The assumption was that he was wanted, and that he wanted to play in college. If the later were true, he could have found a landing spot. Good for him chasing the dream. If he stays at SU, he has an extra 2mm in his pocket, improving his game and his 3pt shot, he has everything else. IMO he would have benefitted staying and putting up gaudy #’s while making $$$
He had the tools but not a consistent focus on defense while here. He was out of position after driving, falling down so often on offense that he wasn’t a factor too often on defense, particularly transition defense. He used to complain about calls taking himself out of the next play. He’s grown up and it’s so nice to see him working hard to become the player he always could be. Fun watching players develop. His on-ball defense jumped out at me yesterday! Didn't see that here.
I agree he’s a good role model for Judah, but I think you’re underestimating McConnell on that one. There is no swap. McConnell’s playmaking is also much better than Judah’s in addition to his shooting and hustle/defense. Averaging 5+ assists in his career so far in 10 NBA seasons. I saw him a lot when he was here in Philly back when we were trusting “the process”. He’s really good and I think was a case of him being under valued until he showed what he could do.I know people get weird about cross racial comparisons, but TJ McConnell is the model for him. Be a defensive menace/hustle guy, and swap McOnnell's shooting for Judah's playmaking.

Yeah, but his foot speed, lateral quickness was different to me... It wasn't the handsy reachy thing that he got a lot of steals from when he was here. He was attacking the ball handler.. At one point he put his hands behind his back and kept cutting the dude off. Could be a one off, but strong on ball defender is always a good starting point.I actually thought he was a solid on-ball defender here - when he actually dedicated himself to it, which was few and far between.
Agree 100%!He had the tools but not a consistent focus on defense while here. Uhh...
$$$$$$ talks.Uhh...
He did it in infrequent spurts. Always had the ability. Just lacked the want to.His on-ball defense jumped out at me yesterday! Didn't see that here.

Sounds like you rolled a fat one!!!I'm always intrigued, sometimes laughably so, by New Age philosophy and aphorisms, but I don't know what to make of: Man-Is-A Basket.
Is the Basket half-empty or half-full? Is it similar to, "Be the ball," and this is the basketball version? Does Judah's Basket now runneth over? If a Man makes a Basket in the forest, and nobody sees it, is it still worth two points? If you put all your eggs in one Basket, do you now have a Women's team?
I need to call it a night...this was weird, even for me![]()
