Just a quick thought on Jeter

Why not put him on first?/9 It would lessen the need for deep runs into the hole. He already can throw if its needed at home or second . He has the ability to catch the grounders in his direction. I see more positives than negatives although if it has been thought of there must be a reason. I'm sure there will be the usual pounding coming on this.:bat:

I'm in favor of this provided Cashman brings in Mike Piazza to teach Jeter the finer points of the position.

They already have the finest fielding first baseman in the game to coach anyone they want there. I doubt Tex plays much the season considering his injury to his hand is almost begging to be repeated when he begins swinging the bat again.Surgery will probably KO him for the year.
