Fair enough. But here’s where i believe JB lost touch. He’s never been a touchy-feely type but maybe a bit of reassurance might’ve worked wonders. The kid needed to know he had his HC’s trust, but sitting him when he should be playing, quick hook when he did play, plus watching another player screwing up mightily but seemingly operating under a double standard, probably drove him away. Speculation yes, but that’s what i bet happened.Why should the staff trust a dude to shoot 3’s who is missing them in practice and hitting at 13% when left open in games. The evidence shows that he improved his shooting under the coaching staffs strategy.
