Kadary Richmond in the transfer portal

March Kadary was a better player than November Kadary.

Kadary went 3-15 from outside from November up to the Va Tech game on Jan 23.

Then he didn't attempt one in a game for about a month.

From the Duke game in Feb to the end of the season he went 4-6.

He had too play 3 games right off the bat because Buddy got Covid.

He got hurt late in the season. He was a shell of himself at the end because he was hurt.

Kadary got more minutes from conference play in January till he got hurt.

Kadary did suck against Pitt at the Dome.

JB yelling at him to not shoot hurt his confidence.
That BC press conference at the dome was an embarrassment for a HC to say that stuff about a good kid publicly who did nothing to deserve that.

What was Joe in November?

.333 and .324 in two college seasons suggest a guy who needs a bit of a red light, if he’s that good of a shooter. His shot selection should be a bigger focus than Kadary’s IMO.

He played some 1 at Auburn this year but can play 1-3. Good passer and handler, would automatically become our best distributor

I don't believe we are a serious player for Powell. The only person I heard that from is Powell. It tales two to Tango. But Powell could play the 3. how would he rebound? I have no idea? But with Powell and Buddy and Benny, me likey. But I don't see it. Hope I am wrong.

he started at point for auburn though. So sounds like we’d be moving him around to make room for Joe.

There’s a lot of assumptions being made in this thread. There’s also a lot of speculation being made to sound like it’s fact. How about Kadary didn’t like his experience and he’s moving on to find a better one? Maybe there’s some other things going on both sides that made this transfer happen. Let’s stop pretending like we know exactly the situation that played out throughout the season.

Kadary did literally come out and say he didn’t like how he was being used and he didn’t feel he could showcase his talents here

Being snarky doesn’t change you didn’t Infer you were talking about 3 point shooting.
I figured if that was your point you would have clarified that.

The kid didn’t need to be a shooter early in the season to even show he was the best PG on the team.

Joe sucked early in the season shooting 3’s as well.
Buddy’s shooting went up as the season progressed and Kadary got more minutes.


Girard wasn’t told to stop shooting. “spacing” wasn’t why Buddy got better shooting. He just made the shots a good shooter makes.

You are kind of moving the goal posts though, at first it was can’t shoot in practice don’t shoot in games, but then stats were shown showing Kadary percentage wise for the season was equal or better then Joe, and then you switched it to just outside shooting for two months.

Exactly. I like Kadary and he’s good but if he thinks that highly of himself and only would stay if he’s guaranteed a spot and 35 plus minutes. Then oh well...see you. No player is bigger than SU and certainly not a 90th ranked frosh backup who averaged 6 points. He’s replaceable and the panic levels here are pitiful. Johnny Lawrence would have a phrase to call all the softies here.
