Kadary smiled yet in Indy?

they replayed braswell’s late 3 from a different angle and you could see kadary’s face as the ball swished through. and he was stone cold. zero reaction. man i love that kid. hes a killer. hes the kind of guy i can see hitting daggers in the 2nd and 3rd weekend of the tournament. i hope jb gives him that chance starting now. 13 minutes aint enough.

Great post.

That’s called tampering. He has to put himself in the portal first before teams can contact him. Plus, you have to learn a whole new offensive and defensive system and adjust to a new coaching staff. That could set him back a minute and he risks it being a bad fit. I can’t imagine he or his family thinks it’s worth the risk. Better the devil you know. But most importantly, he’s always wanted to play for Syracuse (that’s why he chose us) and he’s getting lots of playing time. He’ll get even more playing time next season when he heals his tendinitis and improves his jumper in the off-season. The kid is gonna be a stud here.
It is tampering and it happens.
Your not wrong with anything you said but you also think clearer than a 19 year old with pro aspirations.

If a P5 school says “come here and I promise you 35 minutes a game”, why wouldn’t he give a long thought about that?
Kadary loves cuse...kid was committed to us without ever stepping foot on campus. I won't say it can't happen because as we see whats going on with the transfer portal thread (pure chaos) it could happen...but I just don't see it with him. He knows he's built to play for us and will thrive in our system of play. But I guess we'll all know soon enough!

But most importantly, he’s always wanted to play for Syracuse (that’s why he chose us so quickly once we offered) and he’s getting lots of playing time at a school fairly close to home. He’ll get even more playing time next season when he heals his tendinitis and improves his jumper in the off-season. The kid is gonna be a stud here and he knows it.
AND Kadary hasn't experienced playing in a packed Dome for a big game-
something that entices any kid selecting SU!

For the love of all things Syracuse please stop with the Kadary leaving. Hes not going anywhere! Not even sure how this has become a thing...its others that we might lose.
There was a watch party during the SDSU game and a bunch of former players were talking and Ryan Blackwell brought up that he's been hearing rumors of him leaving for a while. Scroll through basketballnews . com twitter page and you can rewatch it to hear him talk about it. Jason Hart was in there along with Damone Brown, Tony Bland, Etan along with Blackwell.

Blackwell said publicly he has heard rumors of kadary wanting to leave? If so, that's surprising and im shocked him saying that hasn't been brought up on here yet. Maybe bulldog can weigh in on this one?

The comments around Joe in the Athletic article today too I didn't much care for even though it didn't speak specifically to Kadary.

I have to start to wonder if going with a 3 guard lineup with Kadary at the point may be the way to go to minimize attrition. Just a thought

Depends on who returns in the frontcourt. Benny is also coming in -- hard to envision him not starting from Day 1.

A three guard lineup with Benny would make us awfully small [Benny is more of a 3], 1 - 4.

Yeah I am with you. It's a good problem to have regarding talent but I would hate to lose a possible future first rounder over commitment to start a guy one year older.

We are in the Sweet 16 and some SU fans are more worried about the transfer portal. Sometimes you just need to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. There is plenty of time in the off season to hmmm and hawwww over players coming and going.

thats...not good.

I'm going to enjoy what we have going in right now but I'll just say that IF Kadary leaves...that will suck bad! He is the point guard we've all been hoping for the past few years. I realize that this upcoming offseason will be like no other with transferring being so easy but damn it will hurt if he leaves. I still can't see it happening but I don't like if someone like Blackwell is hearing that stuff and saying it publicly. **Back to worrying about stomping Houston...this stuff isn't going anywhere!**

Yeah it's towards the end of the game in the live stream around the 1 hour and 50 minute mark of the live stream the talk of players transferring comes up.

Special K is the straw that stirs the drink-
Unique talent that SU needs, and has no replacement for.

Buddy has been Superman, and others have been stepping up-
But Kadary staying is required for success next year IMO.

Joe as SU's >35" PG will not get it done -asks too much (and I appreciate Joe).

Start listening around 1 hour 50min mark.

That's depressing. Obviously Blackwell is hearing it from someplace. The board needs to start a grass-roots effort to keep Kadary.

Blackwell is definitely hearing it from someplace close. I’m sure most can figure it out. Hopefully assistants can do what Hop was so good at. Still think he’s back though.

Does JB care? I mean surely the assistants are not withholding this information.

Blackwell doesn’t know squat. All he says is he here’s things. Kadary‘s not going anywhere. Why? He’s in a three guard rotation on a good team. JB even subbed Buddy a few times yesterday. When JB has confidence in players, they play. If Kadary works hard and turns up his motor a little bit, he will get a lot of playing time next year. I don’t think he expected to come to SU and start.
