It is my understanding that KT did not "resign" according to the common usage of that term.
Was she told she would not be offered a contract renewal?

I think Tumulo and Thorpe have the most upside as far as alumni I don’t think Rowan would leave Albany with her husband working there. Another alumni no one has talked about is Becca Block she has been the assistant at Harvard. Obviously Spallina is qualified I do think his focus is on the PLL. Gary and Regy did manage to be coaches in the MLL even won a championship I believe so it’s possible I just don’t think Wildhack would go for it the way Gross did. As I said before Dowd and McCormack from Hopkins would be good outside candidates let the committee interview them all and may the best get hired

How is Thorpe as a coach? I remember him from HS and JUCO and SU as a player. He was an amazing runner.

Having a coach in place stabilizes the program and while it may not stop recruits from flipping it will mitigate the amount of uncertainty and allows the program to move forward.I would be fine if they make Deflise-Watkins coach but let’s move forward

Regy Thorpe. All-American.

They even named a town after him in Pennsylvania.
FYI:

Regy Thorpe wrapped up his third season as an assistant coach at the University of Florida at the conclusion of the 2024 campaign and was promoted to Associate Head Coach On July 1, 2024. He will continue to run the Gators' defense as he enters his fourth season apart of the coaching staff.

During the 2024 season, Thorpe helped anchor the Gators defense to the seventh best scoring defense in the country, as they allowed just 8.52 goals per game. Florida held opposing teams to just a .350 shooting percentage, while having 17 games of less than 10 goals allowed and five games of five or less. Two members of the Gators defense were awarded All-AAC honors in Kaitlyn Davies and Theresa Bragg, with Davies receiving IWLCA All- South Region honors as well. Thorpe was apart of the American Athletic Conference Coaching Staff of the Year and the IWLCA South Region Coaching Staff of the Year. The Gators finished the season with a 20-3 record, getting to their second Final Four in program history.

Prior to his time in Pittsburgh, Thorpe spent a season as the New York Riptide head coach and general manager in the National Lacrosse League. Before joining the Riptide, he spent a decade with the Syracuse women’s lacrosse team as the associate head coach, where he led the squad to numerous team and individual accolades.

While with the Orange, Thorpe coached and mentored 21 IWLCA All-Americans, six IWLCA Players of the Year and six Tewaaraton Trophy Finalists. He saw Syracuse make nine NCAA Tournament appearances, including six Final Fours and two championship finals. He left the Orange with a 158-62 record (.718).

During his time with Syracuse and the Riptide, Thorpe also served as the head coach of the U.S. Lacrosse Indoor Box Lacrosse World Team (2019. 2024). He also acts as the Chief Lacrosse Officer for 3DLacrosse.

Thorpe spent a year as the head coach of the Long Island Sound of the United Women’s Lacrosse League and led them to an undefeated season and championship in 2017.

I read that too. I was asking more about anecdotes about his coaching style...

Fiery, rah rah, big pregame speeches and definitely a players coach. Would probably bring “hardnosed” style. Players love him and he is a constant on the recruiting circuit. Think of Gait, then picture the opposite. Thats Regy.
Does "hardnose" work in women's Lax...you breath on an offensive player the wrong way, they get rewarded with a free shot.

Give them real helmets (with a hole for their ponytails) and allow a bit more physicality...not to the men's level but more than now.

Agree. The women's game is SO hard to watch - the rules themselves, the way the games are reffed, etc.

Any idea why he hasn’t gotten a D1 HC gig yet?

Shooting space is a weird concept.

I have to get out of your way so you can make a shot?

Sounds like Red Autry's defense last season.
It's a simple concept really. You don't want to get clobbered in the face with a ball going 80 miles per hour. Note that it doesn't apply outside the 8 meter line. The trick is to defend your player just on that line.

The stick skills in the women's game are WAY better than in the men's game. I vote for no changes.
