Women's Lacrosse Kayla Treanor to Penn State!

I believe it’s time for a change, for this program. I value what Kayla brought to our program; as both a player and HC. She is young and it seems she has to figure out how to establish appropriate boundaries with other staff. I don’t think she is a bad person; she is someone who made questionable choices, in her personal life, which negatively impacted her coaching tenure.
As humans, we all have made decisions which we wish we could do over. I wish her success, unless our team plays against hers.
IMO, we need an experienced HC as her replacement. The interview process will play out and hopefully, our next HC will take us to the next level and a National Championship! We need a great recruiter and proven winner!

Meh, I have two college aged daughters, they could handle it as I am sure most on the team did. The timing was horrible sure. She's a college coach not their parent or an elementary school teacher. It's a fireable offense at Syracuse don't get me wrong but lets not make her out to be some criminal or monster. She cheated on her husband and showed very poor judgement but it's rather common for this type of activity to start in the workplace

having s.e.x. with a direct report is a fireable offense. Wild guess but gender/identity/preference probably made it murkier legally.

I don't disagree, she didn't do anything criminal. Trust me, my past makes her look like a saint.

But let's not say this is normal behavior for the head coach of F4 team to do what she allegedly did at the F4. That's just incredibly poor judgement.

I have a friend who's daughter was recruited by SU and ruled the school out, before this happened, because of the reputation of the program that she was hearing in the clubs in FL.

It may not be a major issue to a lot of people, but why risk alienating even one kid with something completely avoidable.

And that the subordinate is a practicing lawyer don’t worry though it’s a happy ending she also will be joining Kayla on staff at Penn State

if thats true, cant believe PSU would allow that. That is a disaster waiting to happen.

again wild guess - but because of murky legal situation and lawyers involved and an obvious NDA situation since no one has talked at all - i would bet subordinate got PAID by cuse.

That’s the question, what’s the policy. There seems to be a default assumption that she engaged in prohibited conduct. Do we know if that is true?

Exactly right. We cannot afford to alienate any kids. We'll need a shot in the arm to reset the program after last season's collapse & this season's mediocre performance.

Great player. Good coach. It just didn't work out according to plan.

Michelle Tumolo recently completed her fourth season at West Point after being named Noto Family Head Women's Lacrosse Coach in June of 2021.

Tumolo led Army on an unprecedented run to the NCAA Tournament in her second season at the helm of the Black Knights, earning an at-large bid to the tournament. Tumolo was named Patriot League Coach of the Year following the season, as Army reached the Patriot League Championship game for the first time in program history behind a program-record 15 victories. The Black Knights broke into the national rankings for the first time in 2023, achieving a rank as high as 13 while ending the season ranked 14th in the ILWomen/IWLCA poll.

Army's efforts in 2023 included multiple wins over ranked teams, including a pair of victories over archrival Navy in both the regular season star series matchup and in the Patriot League Tournament semifinals. The Black Knights first-ever win over a top-20 opponent came on the road at Jacksonville before Army defeated its first-ever top-10 opponent in Rutgers at home. Tumolo coached Patriot League Rookie of the Year and USA Lacrosse Magazine Second Team All-American Brigid Duffy to a program 82 points across the season, with Kathleen Sullivan, Jolie Riedell and Julia Franzoni all joining Duffy on the All-Patriot League First Team.

The 2025 season saw the program reach new heights, earning another at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament with an 8-1 record in Patriot League play and 13-2 mark in the regular season. Army defeated its first-ever opponent ranked in the top-five in the IWLCA poll with its 12-9 victory over No. 4 Stanford. The season also saw the program's first-ever First Team All-American with midfielder Brigid Duffy.

Fireable offense?

I’m not saying any of what is alleged was a good thing to happen or ignored, but there’s probably more gray area in terms of immediacy and range of outcomes
 
Didn't the fast rising younger Beilein's career end because of messing around with a subordinate or was there more to that story?

Just seeing this but completely agree.

I am at a girls lax hotbed community and know multiple girls who did same thing with Syracuse recruiting.

And I do not know this as fact but heard 3rd party that was a big reason spallina flipped.

Yes same with Ime Uboka. It’s a fireable offense for straight men these days. Somehow someway things change. Not sure if it’s gender or sexual preference. Or mix of both.

This isn’t a complaint or opinion. It’s just a dry statement of fact.

Are you serious? Beilein and Udoke. It’s absolutely a fireable offense to sleep with a direct report.

I’m not talking about cheating on your spouse.
