Well, we have Chase I think he will fill in nicely.Damn. That one stings for depth and future starting talent. Seems like he would have been the third corner and would get a good deal of time even if no injuries occur. But what are the chances of that being the case two years in a row. With Peal and Samuels in the fold it seems like replacing his spot with true freshman is the best route to go, but unfortunately it’s a bit late for that.
We're not "good" at CB if we keep losing players at the position. Starting true freshmen/transfers at CB is a recipe for blown coverages and big plays.Chase coming in as well, we are still good at corner back.
I thought I was the only one! LolI have no idea who this kid is.
Not much happened with him on the field but Fran mentioned him a lot in interviews.I thought I was the only one! Lol
That could be helpful. What about signed 2026 Toledo recruits? Are they free to sign elsewhere with the coaching staff leaving? Dude has lots of good offers and even had one from Syracuse. We're not "good" at CB if we keep losing players at the position. Hopefully we can bring in one or two from Toledo that know the system already.

We loss one kid who played spot minutes last year, it’s not the end of the world. We're not "good" at CB if we keep losing players at the position. Starting true freshmen/transfers at CB is a recipe for blown coverages and big plays.

He played 8 games averaging about 18 snaps a game. Those are meaning amounts of time in game.We loss one kid who played spot minutes last year, it’s not the end of the world.

Even a high end recruit like Samuels struggled to start as a freshman.
CB for us is not plug and play freshman for us.
We need to be able to buil depth at some point.
I agree, but like I said, it’s not the end of the world. It hurts, yes, but let’s not act like this will make or break our season. The portal gives and the portal takes. He played 8 games averaging about 18 snaps a game. Those are meaning amounts of time in game.

That's why the portal can be our friend here. In prior scenarios this would maybe hurt more but those snaps should be replaceable. There has to be better than a fair shot of our new DC bringing one or two DBs from his old team as well.He played 8 games averaging about 18 snaps a game. Those are meaning amounts of time in game.

Ideal college DB
Players get hurt all the time. How would we start a freshman or transfer next year when Peal and Samuels are coming back?
Kaylib could regress? Anything is possible, I personally won’t lose sleep over this lol.Players get hurt all the time.
We need serviceable nickel/dime corners for the teams that go 3/4 wide because we don't have coverage LBs on the current roster.
Peal/Samuels could regress and then we're in trouble.
This isn't CFB26 on PlayStation.
