He also obviously knows the ACC well from his stints at NCST and FSU. I dont think Babers and his current guys have any ACC background.

Lol intresting name. Im not oppose to it. The guy knows defense and knows the ACC. Thats all that matters. Akron went 7-5. two of their losses were to Ohio and Central Michigan after only given up 14 points to both teams. We all saw what Cental Mich did to our defense. With alot of guys comin back on our defense it might be smart to bring in a veteran guy with experience. let the young energetic position coaches do their thing but the veteran coach will do the game planning and play calling. I would be fine with this.

Yds aren't important, it's all about creating favorable situations on key downs and winning a high percentage of those plays, creating stops, not worrying about giving up yards.

Totally agree. I love what our defense is usually like. This is why the Daost as DC thing is interesting. I get he #standswithshafer but assuming he follows shafer somewhere he probably isn't going to be a DC any time soon. Probably a better chance to be Dc here.
