I have a hard time believing Red’s benching of Kiyan is because of Melo’s tweet. I’m guessing Kiyan did something bad this week and got benched for it.
Freshmen all over the nation are dominating the game. Many physically look like freshmen. Why aren’t ours?
What’s the efficiency on the other freshmen? That's somewhat of a flawed statement.. You need to compare them (White and Anthony) to their proper peers, not top 5 or top 10 freshman entering the season - yes those top 10 as a group are dominating this year more than in recent years.
White was #28 and Anthony was #36 per ESPN Rankings. Here is the players from #26-#40 ranked by PPG. The high is 14 points per game across the 15 players.. #26-#40 ranked players are averaging 7.8 ppg (or about 8.5 ppg if I exclude the player that has not played all year). They are generally performing in that range.
Henderson - 14.3
Mingo - 13.7
Adams - 11.8
Lewis - 11.8
Sylla - 9.6
Anthony - 8.9
Moreno - 8.3
Abaev - 8.0
Fogle - 7.5
Toombs - 7.2
White - 6.0
Aristode - 4.8
Magwood - 3.0
Bundalo - 0.3

Wait, what? And I don't want to say that Melo can do no wrong but Melo sacrificed his personal finances to build us the Melo Center and he trusted his son and legacy to us. He's done something nobody else in program history has done and that's still not enough for him to get the benefit of the doubt from our "fans." Just a baffling lack of acknowledgement and respect for the resources and relationships needed to build the program back.
Potentially they know who the next guy is alreadyPretty sure Melo is perceptive enough to know it's Autry that's the problem. I'm sure they'll wait and see before deciding if portal is the move. Gotta make the best choices for the family.
You sound like that guy that likes to remind everyone when the lottery gets really big that you still have to pay taxes on it.Wait, what?
When I gave to SU, it was a tax writeoff.
Upon retirement, he had earned $410m in salary and endorsements. Carmelo Anthony Retires With $410 Million in Career Earnings
Carmelo earned $262.5 million from his NBA salary alone.
This is prior to the private equity fund he invested in.
And related to the Anthony Center, it was $19 million to build, but not all of that came from him:
"Anthony was ranked #8 on 'The Giving Back 30 List of Largest Charitable Donations by Celebrities in 2006' list for contributions totaling $4,282,000."
This feels like Melo using some influence in the background to get ESPN to publicize this...not good for us!!

Oh I agree, and we 100% need a change (I'm an advocate for firing Red mid season). I just meant that the perception of us as a program continues to go lower than I ever thought possibleIt’s good for us that want a change. National pressure and coverage will make the decision even more obvious.
That would be laughable since it is clear Red is going to be out of here after this year.Hopefully it’s not Carmelo saying Red, we are out of here after this year. And Red reacting by not playing him.
Just speculating.
Syracuse basketball is dead and it’s the joke of CBB now.Red's really going to poison the relationship with the Anthony family on the way out, and we're going to let that happen, aren't we?
