The QB sneak comes to mind.Other than a kneel-down, what play on offense is designed to get tackled?

In the abstract sure everyplay could be a TD if the defense is unsound and you get a guy in a position with the ball that if he beats one guy he's gone sure. But that's not reality. Plenty of pass plays are designed to find the soft spot in a zone in order to get a first down or achieve a positive down and distance for the next play. If the defender slips and it goes for a TD, that's gravy. But it wasn't "designed" for a TD.
When the primary read on a pass play is a 12 year comeback, is that designed to go for a TD?
And just how would you know this?Curtis isn't as good as you guys think. Probably wasn't going to play this year. Robinson is much better then you guys think he is. many assume he isn't ready because he's local and didn't have a lot of offers. It's just not true, expect him and Trudo to be on the field.
A VERY good source, that's how.And just how would you know this?
I have never heard a coach say that. run and shoot sure has a lot of plays that are not more than 10- yds down the field so i dont know how that can be designed for a td.. you also dont know what the D will be doing.. if they are in a 3 deep other than throwing a deep pass what plays can be designed for a TD. the rest rely on the D messing up.

This is the funniest thing I saw on here in a while. We ran it in high school and we scored every time. Maybe not. That was a long time ago.
Foster and Kobena were true freshman last year. Chances are, they'd be more ready to contribute this year.
I expect Kobena to be a very good player this season for us.

I hope you're right! Nick is a very good athlete and maybe that has allowed him to close the gap on others that grew-up in better FB playing regions of the country.A VERY good source, that's how.
Foster was a true frosh last year...he doesn't need the sixth year waiver.I wonder if Foster will be a medical RS and have a chance at 6 years?

As much as I'm not a fan of how we use our fullbacks, I actually would have liked to have seen more passes to them and rush attempts so that they have to be recognized as at least some threat to advance the ball.Well, Adam Harris in the flat almost certainly wasn't designed to be a touchdown.

You're preaching to the choir. I've been stumped that our modestly talented fullbacks have seen the field so much, but if they're going to be out there let's have them be something other than a 6th olineman.I like using the fullback but I don't love using them all the time on 3rd-and-short and 4th-and-short. I love the idea of a fullback quick-hitter on first down from time to time. I also don't mind the FB in the flat, but I think you need an FB that can catch and turn and run and you need to call it at the right times against the right defenses. I'm not at all trying to knock Harris but he didn't look terribly dangerous with the ball.

Otherwise, if we want a 6th olineman, lets put a 6th olineman out there.

I'm open to either. With the way our line has played maybe we should actually just put 8 OL out there. Or three. I'm not sure which way to go on that.
What I heard is that Curtis could be more motivated. If Nick can get it done, that's great, and he would be ahead of schedule from what could reasonably have been expected. Fact is that the level of competition and coaching that he received is not comparable to other kids coming in. It's not a knock, just reality.
He's wasn't 100% last fall and missed time, and he was thrown in the deep end in the spring.
Word was from multiple sources was that Curtis was the best of the freshmen OL last year and might have played before being injured.
And I wouldn't expect your likely source(s) to be 100% objective. And that's not a knock either.

I guess I don't know, 12 years is a long time for a play to develop, especially given our O-line.
