SU contingent made some noise.

Solid win the the #1 team in the country in a hostile environment

Best SU bench ever? Discuss

Bench is certainly up there with the best we've ever had, Dick. The team that lost to Indiana in the final was also very strong.

Loved the Scooooooooooop cheer. Absolutely our best bench ever. This club is special.

Sounded like a home Game, Great Job by the SU Crew that were on hand @ N.C.State !!

That 1999-2000 team is one I consider the deepest of recent times. Etan Thomas, Ryan Blackwell, Damone Brown, Preston Shumpert, Jason Hart, Allen Griffen, DeShaun Williams, Tony Bland, Kueth Duany and Billy Celuck.

This team is looking awfully deep - maybe deeper if Rakeem Christmas can begin to contribute some interior presence. I know he's not getting a lot of minutes, but he's not doing a lot when he's out there.

I can't remember anything close to it... but then again, I only remember back to like 1990. Although, if Dion stays one more year, I think next year's gets better. Throw in a seasoned MCW, a sharpshooter in Cooney, and DC2... that would be a golden bench.

no question the best bench ever
how many teams have the 8th guy come off the bench
and score 11 the key to this team is cj fair on the boards and garbage pts
Dion is the best 6 man in the country not even close
like coach sd what bench, we have ten starters

So is it fair to say that the Syracuse Ottoman empire has expanded into the Tarheel State?

nothing even close bench wise my opinion since 62 Also JB is doing an amazing job this year

Yes, amazing to have that kind of presence so far away in North Carolina. VERY impressive!

Celuck? Seriously?

When State was up the State crowd was very loud for them, but when we made that run in the 1st half, it was all 'Cuse fans!
'Cuse fans had to be ¼ of the crowd at minimum based on the loudness of the SU noise and the LGO chants were easy to hear.
It was hard to tell Orange from Red on TV for me but nice job by those in Orange that were there!

JB is doing an outstanding job -- not always easy when your better guys are asked to accept roles of coming off the bench. JB has slots for Christmas and MCW; keeps Triche in a starting role and goes with him if he is useful; rotates BMK in for effective time; has Dion and others working hard on defense.

The real test is getting Rak enough minutes... I am not impressed with BMK's effort so far this year. I don't think Rak is that far away from him, IMHO. While this point certainly leaves plenty of room for debate, the fact I feel this way is kind of the red flag to me that we are in danger of experiencing a similar fate of our last team to be ranked #1, if Fab ends up hobbled this year.

Expanded, No. Colonized, yes. And didn't you hear that collective voice coming out of Raleigh saying "Oh Crap. You mean now we're all going to have to play these Syracuse guys every year!!"

Celuck? Seriously?

He actually played in about half the games, including a bunch in the Big East. He was our only backup center who played. Jeremy McNeil seldom got off the bench on that team, but Celuck did.

Great job, all who were there. Classic stuff at pack pride in the "our fans...godalmighty" thread.

Dion, unfortunately, won't be here next year. He's ready enough.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't McNeil redshirt the 1999-2000 season, and then did what you described above in the 2000-2001 season?

Where is this thread? Could you point out where it is. I didn't see it. Thank you

Just search "Pack Pride" on google. It is a s c ou t board so links won't work from here. It's like the 3rd thread from the top still on their forums.
