Another fee agent waste on the mound Yanks getting snuffed again by an average pitcher. Seems like we run into C:bat: y Young an awful lot this year.

Not impressed. Hughes seems to have turned a corner though. Some timely hitting would help.

Burnett had one disastrous start where he gave up 12 runs in fewer than 3 innings. Other than that, he has better than any Yankee starter this year. I realize the difference in leagues plays a part. Pitching in the NL should be good for him; having that automatic out in the lineup should prevent some of those terrible innings from being so bad.

I don't understand the hatred many Yankee fans have for Burnett. He certainly didn't live up to his contract, but he won some huge games and was by most accounts a great clubhouse guy.

Kuroda is striking out fewer batters than before, and walking more. Not a good sign.
