I'm sure Kyle is happy just to hear his name and so am I, but would have been nice to go to a spot where there was a more realistic chance to start without an injury. But we'll see how he does!

On the flip side, couldn't have asked for a better landing spot to develop and play if needed

It's not a bad spot. Tanner McKee likely gets traded after this season if McCord proves he can be QB2 (he will). Eagles backup QB gets more snaps than most teams because they're likely to have nothing to play for the last game of the year and have some mop up duty available.

Agree. There is already interest in Tanner McKee. He looked excellent both in preseason and during the game against the Jints.

I suspect that McCord will already be the #3 QB as there's no need for Dorian Thompson-Robinson any more.

They've done it. Did it with Nick Foles his first time around. He came back only to win the Super Bowl.


And they did it with a guy named Kevin Kolb, who was regarded as McNabb's successor. Got a second-rounder from Arizona. Highway robbery.

As both an Iggles' and SU fan, I really like Tanner McKee. Think he's this year's likely backup. But I can definitely see him being traded and the Birds' getting over-compensated, assuming he plays as well as he did last year.

Good spot for him. Has a good team around him if he sees the field and won't get thrown to the wolves. If he impresses as a backup, word will get around and he'll get a shot somewhere.
